Fictional Jerseys / Arena

HI! I'm new here and a complete newb when it comes to modding.
I want to start a new association and instead of using New Orleans Hornets jerseys / arena I would love if someone would be up to the task of making fictional New Orleans Pelicans jersey and an arena. I would love to do it myself but I don't even know where to start when it comes to that stuff. If someone if interested in such a task or mentoring me in how to make jerseys and arenas either would be great. I want to learn how to mod myself but as I said, I have no idea how to do so. I am playing on NBA 2K13
