Getting My Player on the right team?

Sun Dec 02, 2012 2:15 pm

I can't figure out how to do it this year. Last times around requesting a trade seemed to work for me but this time I request a trade to the Knicks, reloaded the save game 50+ times and have been traded to every single team in the league which isn't the Knicks...

Can anyone help with this? Obviously Knicks don't have a 1st round pick which means I can't use the cheat engine tables.

Ty for any assistance. Please let me know if this is not currently possible so I can stop searching!

It's been the exact opposite for me. I couldn't get on the team I wanted to save my life in 2k11 or 12, but I've been happy with every single trade in 2k13.

No one knows a reliable way to get yourself to your desired team?

wish i could give some insight on this one... which i know that comment
is pretty pointless in a thread where ur asking for assistance lol, sorry.
but id like to say its been the same thing with me as it has with Rise
for the most part... just about any time iv asked for a trade, which i do about
3 times a save, iv gotten to the team which i wanted to play for. iv also gotten
the players i wanted traded for every time when the GM asks who you want
them to go after. so my question would be whats your overall? if uv edited ur stats
and already made yourself a superstar OR are still at the 62-65 starting rating then
i think its a bit harder to trade to where you want. as the better teams dont seem to want
a player they cant use. and if ur too good the "updated trade logic" which half the time
isnt logical at all, will make it so they dont trade for you if they have to give up too many pieces.
iv found that teams like the cavs wont take me too often. and when they did they had
to give up irving, Waiters, and a 1st round pick. however the nets will bite all the time, just
giving up Williams and some scrub.

that brings me up another good point as far as trades go though, in order to not break up a team
and prolly kill part of the reason you wanted to go there, we need to find a way to be traded
to a certain team and not have an arm and a leg taken from that team for it.

Well that is interesting insight, yeah I'm still using my brand new player completely unupgraded. I did try to boost him up to the 70~ region but they still wouldn't trade me to the correct team.

I guess I can try to slowly upgrade bit by bit until they find a match with the Knicks. It's surprising though as my PG was traded there first try but my PF just can't get on the team.

Maybe playing crappy and try get closer to Knicks pick and then use GM talk to get in knicks is best choice right now for not hurting team you want to go? I havent tried this though, i can control wheather i go early or around 8, 9 but to go ~20s idk maybe if you play crap?

in that case, use the trainer and change to a PG. that way you dont have to raise any and up your trade value,
so firstly they wont give as much for you, and secondly it will be easier to get there. taking the trade logic
into account, i think its harder for you cuz the knicks have amare and i think the game also considers the
fact that Melo is a SF/PF so they dont need you. so yea, use the trainer and change ur position, however if you do
that then be aware that ur overall as a point will be low as hell, like in the 40s. id say try t get the trade just like
that first, if it doesnt work then raise it some. then change back to a PF once you make the trade.

i dont think ur play matters. i was a 93 overall in my 4th year with the Wizards.
decided i wanted to move on so i dropped my overall to like 36 or something
and played like 8 games just like that THEN requested a trade, they still traded me,
with my poor play and terrible rating, to the lakers for Lebron.

Knicks pick is #48 it's impossible to get drafted that low.

Could you tell me which trainer? And does it have any horrible side-effects?

NBA 2K13 Turbo Trainer/Editor - English

as long as you dont do any stat editing, theres no side effects i have found.
though with that one (v1.2) i havnt seen the fucked up stats after editing like i did
in the original release.

but to change ur position you must load ur save, then the trainer.
then go into edit player in the MC menu, once there, go to the trainer
and click on the Player button, then Vitals. from there, its self explanatory.
just remember to hit the save button thats associated with whatever you choose to edit.

not a problem.

OH one thing to note though, you SHOULDNT change your position
if you are already into your career. reason being, because when you switch
position its like restarting ur career in some ways. ur achievements will erase,
which is just about the only noticeable thing that will happen. BUT besides
having to hit ur 50 points in a game, 5 steals in a game and so on there
isnt much side effect. only other thing is when you retire, if you have won
any championships or done anything else noteworthy then it wont be
recorded in ur photoalbum as if it never happened. it will still count towards
your HOF progress, but there will be no record of it in the HOF.
