I doubt i'll be using that feature/mini-game at all, but you gotta hand it to 'em - they've gone very deep with the shoes. Modders will probably have a ball with this stuff.

With that said, the time they spent on this they could've spent on Association mode!

Damnit, they led me to believe I could make my own shoes and not just order a colorway that didn't exist . Considering I can already do that on MiAdidas and Nike id websites I'm kinda bummed out

For the shoes to be given its own developer insight makes me sad.
I want a videogame basketball simulation not Project Runway for basketball shoes.

So my shoes make me better at stealing the ball. I'm glad they're keeping things realistic.


Still it's great for modders, I just wish they put as much time into association as they do less important things like shoes.

This is the thing, I care the least. When you play 2 years with low online grafics, you just don't look after the pixel-shoes those pixel-guys are wearing.

Not to take anything away from the hard work that's gone into the shoes or the Shoe Creator, which does look cool, but count me among the folks who just aren't excited about this. If you're a shoe buff then this is obviously great news and I can certainly appreciate the attention to detail, but like Nick I wish we were getting an Association Insight chock full of promising details.

create a shoe isn't anything new to 2k.. I remember back in 2k5 they had something similar. Only difference the shoe you made couldn't be name branded with Nike or anyone else.. now if only they bring back 24/7 to coincide with My Career that would be beast.

hmmm... Imo, It doesn't look too good.. I'm still not sure how well this shoe creator can help me and other shoe modders..

Don't judge it before you use it. It has 45 layers you can apply and combine, so I'm pretty sure it's powerful enough, even though the dev video didn't really help show that.

I'll try that once I have the game, I'm curious of the layers of textures they put into this.

Agreed. Exclusive shoes or additional special teams would've been far more appropriate as a pre-order bonus.
