Best team for association

can anybody recommend me a good team for the association, I would like it to be one of those teams that battles throughout the season and nearly gets into the 8th seed.

do the Pistons. Super fun. Basically just develop Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond, have a shit ton of cap space (which you can use to sigh CP3) by 2nd year your lineup can look like this

Bobcats! Just got James Harden for Gordon and a second round pick. Signed Greg Oden out of free agency ("solid" backup center) and waived Diop (too expensive). Now I'm building around Kemba and Harden and try to get a solid big man ASAP. Also trying to develop Biyombo into a decent defensive big.
It's a lot of fun. won the first 6 games just to realize that the game was set to pro... Since I'm switched back to All-Star/Superstar (home/road) I got more realistic results...

its really in the the details I basically turn the team from a team with horrible chemistry and mix into to play off contender who defends/rebounds.

And yes i am happy with these moves...

Hedo was a expiring contract and is not part of the long term future

Cousins for Gibson? Gibson is instant spark plug off bench for chandler/perkins (I actually started him over Perkins in play off)

Chandler? tradede away horrible contracts fringe player contracts for a true starter?

Salmons and Thornton for Thabo and Perkins? : needed decent roler players didnt need thornton or salmons to take shots away from reke/it/pat

this just my version of the kings... better then what i started with..

I did a Pistons one too, most fun I've had.

Also won a championship in my third season, started Drummond at the C and made him pretty defensive minded, Greg has a nice midrange game, got Terrence Williams as a starting F and Stucky/Knight in the back court. Both of their shot releases are pretty fun. It's a true inside out game with this team.

Bench was Jerebko/Magette/Maxiell. Was a really fun one to run, just sort of fizzled out around year three because all the players started looking like eachother.

Started a Magic one recently, I'm about 25 games in with a 15-10 record. I traded for Thomas Robinson from the Rockets & enjoy splitting playing time between Tobias Harris & Moe Harkless at the SF with Hark being my defensive guy & Harris the 6th Man, he's too strong for the opposing teams SF's & too quick for their PF's. Fun, fun, fun.

if you have draft classes (2013,2014) you can should take the wizards because first season they finish with a 6th or 5th pick and you can draft a good franchise player so that is what i recommend
