shoot button not working

I have no idea why but my shoot button just stopped working for no reason. I use the shot stick but I now have no control over my shot release.
Then when I do a hop step or dribble pull up the jump shot animation is activated immediately after but I still have no control over the release.
Any body have any idea what's going on. I would hate to lose all of my mods by reinstalling the game but this just ruins the experience

nevermind my joystick seems to have a shortage. messing around with the joy stick has caused the buttons to work correctly again
