3D Hair Texture

Hey Guys, i have a problem with editing the Texture for 3d hair.
I don't what the correct format is, so i tried a couple of different DDS settings since 3DMTool exported it as a DDS, and DXT3 seems to be the only format that 3DM allows without giving me a Yes or No dialog option.
When ever i get a yes or no dialog pop up it's wrong format so i assumed the same in this case.
However saving in that format i have the issue that hair turns blue from afar:

Plus the file size of the DXT3 is only like 90kb while the original file from 3DMTool is 256kb.
So which format to use?

I have trouble with that too so what i like to do is just take it from another player who has what your looking for. What hair color are u specifically looking for to put on him?

I would like to stick with the current texture due to transparency of the texture and i don't know if it would look the same way with a different texture & alpha..

Export the hair as png, make your changes and Import back as png. It will gives you an eror message but just ignore it and it should work. That sould do it I think...
