Slimm44's Roster File/Sliders/Settings

Postby slimm44 on Thu Jan 19, 2012 10:51 pm

Here is my roster project. So far, here is all that is finished:

Completely re-edited all ratings (including hidden ratings).
Completely re-edited all tendencies
Verified through testing the integrity of sim-stats and gameplay. (Except FG% as the Inside Rating and Blocks as they are incorrect by code.)
All Rookies created (with correct cyberface and no black arms) and given ratings/tendencies I expected at beginning of season including edited Hot Zones.
All Coaching Profiles tweaked to a 25-50-75-100 scale (except Shot Locations).
All playbooks have been edited which dramatically improves gameplay experience/diversity.
All player movement besides a few players that need to be created is complete.
All player numbers are correct.
All rotation minutes have been set.
Settings and sliders have been tweaked for CPU vs. CPU and Hum Vs. CPU games

Poster FFPP made some hex edits to accessories on the Trail Blazers. Here are links to those files. NOTE: I have heard that editing players who have been hex edited may glitch the file. I don't know if that's the case here or not. If you have any problems with either of these files, let me know.

If you download the roster file, please give feedback so I have some sort of idea how many hits I am getting.

Still to come in future updates:

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

slimm44, great sliders! I tested all sorts of sliders, and find yours to be best. Love playing with them @HOF difficulty.

Glad you enjoy them! Did you try the roster or are you using a different set?

I previously used your v2 sliders with alby's roster, but yesterday I played couple games with your latest sliders and rosters and it was awesome. No steal abuse, real off. Rebounding and so on..great work! I previously tested on avarage 10 games with alby's, redlogic, the truth and mkharsh23 sliders but as soon as I saw that at HOF steal abuse started goin on I had to go back to your sliders!Highly recommended!

slimm44, could you do me a huge favor and post your slider set in writing so I can compare it to the one I'm developing using RedLogic's as a base? I'm trying to get the best out of every slider set I can find, so it would really help me if I could correct the last few issues, regarding steals for example, using some of your values, if you don't mind.

Here they are, but keep in mind that the roster set heavily impacts gameplay as well. In my roster, literally every rating (except vertical) has been edited for every player. My roster also has a custom playbook for every team which changes things up greatly.

Same values for HUM and CPU. I only play on PRO with gamespeed at 52, both shot types set as REAL%. I've heard good reports from people using these on all-star and HOF as well, but I haven't tried.

Everything is fine. Works Great! Same settings as yours, Pro @ GS 52. Just change Artest name, or we might get sued. Just kidding!

Still enjoying these sliders! IMO, no other slider set comes close to these. Besides already mentioned areas (no steal abuse, real off-rebounding) in which I believe these are superior, I love how cpu attacks the basket. Most of sliders out there @HOF tend to the same thing in particular situations, like for instance with one popular slider set everyone I mean everyone drives to the basket instead of shooting 2pt shot although the paint is jacked with opposing players or shots in collision are either none or always). In short - with these sliders great balance is achieved every area! (Y) :bowdown2:
