Awesome! Now, all the teams are done!

Release will be sometime this week, I'm going back home tomorrow, then I'll include the last teams, make a couple more jerseys, tweak ratings, edit shoes, edit playbooks and rotations, double check ages and jersey numbers...by the end of the week you'll be able to play the V1 of this mod!

So I'm close to finishing the rosterfile, and I've run into a little problem:

If I replace the NBA teams with the new ABA teams, Season and Association mode wont work! I'm not really sure why, because in order to overwrite the NBA teams, you need to keep the original teams's GID's. But the game still crashes!

So I have two choices:

1. I add the ABA teams as retro teams, that way season and association work, but you'll have to customise the mode, and you'll have to scroll a lot to get to the ABA teams, plus the ABA teams dont show up at the home screen

OR

2. I'll overwrite the NBA teams, that way season and asso mode wont work, but the mod looks better with the ABA teams showing up right at the start.


I'll include tmm files for all ABA teams, so you guys can import them into UBR or any rosterfile/mod you want! Only little thing that wont work (now) is that in the team selection menu, the teams logo wont show up correctly, because the teams GID needs to be present in the rosterfile the tmm is imported into, in order for the select a team logo to work. Everything else works fine (all other times the logo is shown/jerseys etc.)

I vote for the first option Chris, but i think as a manager you have to go for your preference, btw the last solution as .TMM files is the best choice, for guys like me that always look for the free matchups, instead of a regular Mod. But i got admite that the Regular Mod choice is interesting.

I voted for the second option. Chris, you're missing something cause as long as you keep the original TeamID's and GIDs association should work regardless of jersey, team name, team roster etc. changes. With which method you're injecting the teams?

Hi Chris - I've leant towards method 2 but either would be fine for the plans I have for the teams and the way that I will use them . It's just a matter of being patient now and with your mod due and Iron Mike's 1988 mod not that far away it's a bit like a kid counting down the days til Christmas!
