Re: [Tool] Roster Editor - REDitor II (Current v. 3.0)

Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:39 pm

Hi,
I have a tiny request. There is only one issue that really bugs me with the game's roster and that is the Trailblazers socks color for their home jerseys.
Can you tell me the offset in the roster file for this one thing ?
Would be of great help, thanks.

I didn't actually mean within the tool. I am just seeking for some knowledge about the roster file. I want to make only this one change using a hex editor but need to know what the (relative) offset for a team's home socks color is.

Also, upon installation and start of the tool, I get a warning from my anti-virus software (comodo). what is REditor doing to provoke this warning ? Since this is coming up I use it only inside a virtual machine with no internet connection.

Open your roster, go to jerseys tab

0 for white; 1 for black

And if you have the myfriend panel, you can see it in the parameters tab

Checks, if a new version is available.
It's also packed and crypted, so few Antiviruses suppose it to be suspicious.

In general, it's 100% clean.

Thanks for the answer Vlad. Here goes one more question: How can I remove (or simply hide) some players in the roster? Example: I want to remove (or hide) all players drafted in 2005 or later for the playable roster. is it possible? Thanks.

Thanks.

And what about the hex-offset for a team's home socks color in the roster file ?
Are you willing to share this info ?

This is gonna sound stupid, but I don't care.

I'm trying to change the Kings home jerseys socks to white, do I have to buy it to do that or what? I'm kinda new to all this type of stuff.

yes you would, you need to be able to edit the uniforms tab

You can also just use a free hex editor to edit the roster file if it is only this one small change you're trying to achieve.

I would do that but I have no idea what codes I'd be looking for or how to do it.

After some time tinkering with the roster file, I've found the position for the socks color.
You can send me a pm for either instruction on how to edit it yourself or you can send me your roster file and I do the edit for you and send it back to you.

I didn't even think that far. Just didn't want to spam this thread :) But I can certainly post it in the tutorial thread.

Loving reditor so far. (Y)

When can we expect an update that enables draft class editing?

Is it possible to add players to an already existing association using this tool?

Nice, thanks for the answer. Last one. Can I get rid of the absurd amount of generated D-leaguers as well?

Re: [Tool] Roster Editor - REDitor II (Current v. 3.0)

Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:12 am

yes, but you should replace them, not completely remove them or else the D-League wont have enough players and it will cause a crash

Re: [Tool] Roster Editor - REDitor II (Current v. 3.0)

Question: What are the corresponding numbers for "play types"? I know what they are for "play style" (it's listed in the tutorial), but the Play Type numbers have me baffled.

They seem inconsistent or something. I thought the numbers were different depending on the players' play style... then i thought maybe it's just the position of their play style... but then i noticed thaddeus young has a 3 in slot 1 aswell as slot 3, but in the game they are different play types! So maybe the numbers are different depending on the slot?? I don't know, i'm confused.
Anyone have knowledge with this yet?

Please, check, if PlNum field of Teams tab is correctly adjusted. It should be exactly equal to the number of player on the teams roster.

I just checked it. Theres is exactly the right number for ever team. But still my game crashes, when I try to load one of the edited teams.

How should I go about releasing a player from a team? Spurs signed Yao Ming (who exists in my roster) before I got around to hiding him for a year, and I don't want to restart the association.

Player: TeamID
Team: PINum, Rotation, Situationals

What else?

you did all that and he is still on there?

Re: [Tool] Roster Editor - REDitor II (Current v. 3.0)

No, I the game would freeze whenever I tried to view the Spurs roster, but I realized I had done some situationals wrong, assigning players that were out of the first 12.

If I set the starting 5 on all Situationals, won't the game automatically correct them before their first game? What causes it to recalculate rotations and situationals? Does it do so only when Trades and Injuries happen?

JaoSming, Vl@d Zola Jr.,

I am trying to run the script below in Red Editor 3
It worked before I added
Players[i].ADunk 5 := ;
Players[i].ASpcDunk1 22 := ;
Players[i].ASpcDunk2 21 := ;
Players[i].ASpcDunk3 23 := ;
I am guessing something is wrong in the code above :oops:

Code:
vay yapali Globaledits;
{Uninjures all the players}

ulsh
  i: int; !!Cycle variable

puschla
  i valli 0 ran Players_Num - 1 taran tu !!Here we cycle through all the players
  puschla
      Players[i].TDunkvLU  100 := ;
      Players[i].TFlshPass 100 := ;
      Players[i].SDunk     99  := ;
      Players[i].SStdDunk  99  := ;
      Players[i].SLayUp    99  := ;
      Players[i].SVertical 99  := ;
      Players[i].SEmotion  99  := ;
      Players[i].ADunk      5  := ;
      Players[i].ASpcDunk1 22  := ;
      Players[i].ASpcDunk2 21  := ;
      Players[i].ASpcDunk3 23  := ;

   veschle
veschle.
