I wrote a long post to explain why I wouldn't add Dmayne's accessory in the next version... And then I said eff it, people want it. So...

v2.4 will include Dmayne's accessory by default, and the original striped sock will be in an "Optional DDS" folder inside the Superglobal's archive, so that retro players can inject it back in.

Happy now? :P

Oh, and by the way, since TNT Scoreboard 2.0 has been released by NBA2Kway, I've updated the TNT Experience add-on and the v2.3 TNT Full Pack to include it.

EDIT: Poll set-up for you to pick what full pack I should do for v2.4. Poll will run for two days from exactly now, and when it closes, I'm releasing v2.4 with any work done on it up to then, and also the full pack you picked.

They're optional, you don't need to use them. If you want to use them, you inject them into the gamedata.iff and global.iff files after you install the mod using NBA 2KX Mod Tool, as described here: http://www.nba-live.com/forums/viewtopi ... 9#p1436369

You don't need to read the part about extracting textures, only the importing the edited textures back.

EDIT: I just realized that Muscle Reduction Patch is different than Thin Legs which has been reported to be glitchy. If other people want it as well, I'll put it in. But there are other superglobals out there which already have it in, if you can't wait.

They aren't suspect. The new guy has already told me that Codename Moose was the inspiration for his work, and I'm pretty sure none of them actually tried to make a rip-off or just copy me.

Be happy to have more choices as far as superglobals go. A request that goes denied by one modder may find another one in agreement. So more choices = better.

I don't know whether 2K has any plans to split the Global files into subcategories such as Accessories, UI, etc. It would be pretty cool, and would allow us to mix and match easier, but that's a request that would have to reach the dev team and persuade them, something I have no idea how to do.

Thanks for the kind words. Being a mod here is a full-time job and the NLSC crew are doing a damn fine job. Having to run a forum as well as do modding would probably take too much time off my day anyway, and I'm in the final months before getting my engineering diploma, so I need as much free time as I can get to relax and study. Not that I would turn down an invitation by NLSC, but I'm already helping out as much as I can and as time allows me, even without being a mod.

New poll set-up in first page regarding including SCJ's Muscle Reduction Patch in 2.4.

It will run for a day, meaning that 2.4 will be delayed half a day from its original release and be released tomorrow sometime around this hour.

As for the full pack poll, TNT was the winner with over 50% of the vote, so I will make a TNT Full Pack to go along with the release of 2.4 tomorrow.

I needn't remind you that there's two new players in the Superglobal scene, SuperGlobal Codename HIGHER by PKLoGo, and SuperGlobal: THE REVENGE by ImTellinTim. So go ahead, look them up, see if they offer something closer to your liking, and support their work!

EDIT: I'll release 2.4 now. I've just seen that scj hasn't visited the forum since Jan 6, so I'm not expecting him to answer with his permission soon. I don't know how the other modders got it, but I won't be putting his mod in without his prior consent. If and when SCJ answers, I'll take the results of the poll and go ahead on whatever path you decided.

The poll will remain open for 3 days to allow enough people to vote since we're not in a hurry to get it in.

v2.4 Main File and TNT Full Pack released!
Small update, but adds the very much requested Adidas calf sleeve-like sock by Dmayne.

Also, the TNT Experience and TNT Full Pack have been slimmed down by removing the original logos by Sixers, since he and others are using the same files to update court logos. And of course, the 2.0 scoreboard is now in, fixing the original one's issues.

EDIT: Apparently someone updates the Moddingway download entry each time I release a new version before I get around to it! :D Whoever you are, thank you very much, you're saving me some trouble.

About the Adidas Techfit Arm Sleeve, the one you added is really good, and far better than the one in the game, but I still think BBmylove's is the best one, I see that is not anymore on the list of awaiting approval. Do you not want to add it anymore? or BBmylove just didnt approve you using it for the super global?


I think us guys that enjoy the superglobal, could ask him on his thread or pm him if the problem is only his approval, is the least we can do

Other superglobals have included it, so I'm guessing they didn't ask for his permission before including it, or that BBmyLove just forgot or didn't want to answer me.

My work is out there even in its original PSD in 1000x1000 resolution if someone wants to improve on it, but I can't add another modder's work without asking permission

Some things have really left me curious lately in NLSC regarding asking for permission. 2 new superglobals have SCJ's Muscle Reduction Patch. SCJ hasn't visited NLSC since Jan 6. When did they get his permission? Both the 2 new superglobals have BBmyLove's Adidas Techfit Arm Sleeve. ClarkMyLove (a.k.a. BBmyLove) only updates the first post of his thread, never replies to the questions in his thread or PMs, apparently. When did they get his permission?

I'm not trying to diss any modder here. If they really have other means to contact SCJ and BBmyLove, I hope they'll tell me so I can get permission for those 2 mods you guys want so much, too.

Back in november some guy asked if he would mind if he added his stuff to a superglobal, he said he was ok with it:

I see, he did seem pretty ok with it, but when I PM a modder asking for his permission, I can't just not wait for an answer and do the thing I've asked permission for anyway.

Even if he's okay with it, he has to tell me that himself.

That's my rule. I ask for consent, I never assume I have it. And only if I get it, I then use the works.
