You don't want to get overly dark. The main thing is to have the game not look flat and give it that pop effect like johndoe and like you guys have been doing with the shadow mods. I don't think there's a point to changing the darkness once you get it to look like real life. I think it is more important to mess with the effects. That's my 2 cents from an outside modding perspective.
