Leftos wrote:lol That does NOT look good when posted in a forum. People, don't use Copy Values. Just upload your lighting profile (found in My Documents\NBA 2K12 Global Editor\ with a pfl extension) to mediafire or whatever and post the link. Going through 25 values and making sure you've put them in right is not easy. Copying the profile itself is much easier.
seanjohn1414, if you ever get around to making a shadow mod and/or hex-editing my 2.7 global to make it look that good, mind giving me a link?
And by the way, people, be patient. Going through 25 values and restarting NBA 2K12 to check out each and every change is not easy. It's going to be a while before we get a complete 25 value profile.
Leftos wrote:PFL are just text files with a different extension. They can be opened by notepad, but they're supposed to be put in the My Documents\NBA 2K12 Global Editor folder so that the Global Editor sees them and puts them in your list.
So if you send me the actual PFL file from your Global Editor folder and I put it in mine, it'll show up in Global Editor as a profile. Kind of like when you download a roster and put it in the 2K12 Saves folder, and it shows up in-game.
Leftos wrote:seanjohn1414, I'll be waiting for a version of my global with your shadow mod and hex edits. Just make sure you take notes of everything you do, so that we can make a tutorial afterwards and improve the Global Editor as much as we can (by for example breaking down some values to two or three, by darkness of skin for example).

Too bad you've lost some of your edits. See what you can find out and keep notes from now on.
Leftos wrote:isaac98, shirts lighting is separate. Download the MIracle My Jersey tool for that.
gogadantes, seanjohn1414 might be able to help you with that. Send him a PM.
Leftos wrote:I'm not the right person to ask on what the values do, I only make the tools for the values other people find. Seanjohn1414 could be the right person to ask about that, he's studied the Global Editor and the global's lighting values extensively.
Also, when you need to ask me something about a tool of mine, post a reply in the tool's thread. That should be enough. You don't have to PM me the same question as well, because I feel I'm getting pestered, and you're lowering your chances of me paying any attention to what you're saying if you're using more than one way to ask me.

Leftos wrote:seanjohn1414, can you PM me or post here a list of your research on what each value in 0.5 does so that I can include it with the readme for 0.5.1 (to include a fix for Jao's annoyance regarding the tool asking for the file to be named "global.iff") and get it released later today?
Leftos wrote:Thanks for all the info seanjohn1414. I've cleaned it up and posted it in the first post, and it's also in the tool's readme as well now.
v0.5.0.1 released!
- Open File dialog now shows all iff files by default, instead of just files named "global.iff"
seanjohn1414 wrote:lightin 12 nothing change
lighting 19 nothing change
lighting 20 to 21 i dont edit this coz i think if when i try to raise it like in lighting 20 the players will be color violet like barneyor lighting 21 makes them yellow or ..
seanjohn1414 wrote:mmm.. lighting 7 - 10 doesnt have any changes in game thats for sure...
lighting13 is for the place of shadow in body... change it lower than 2 then your shadow will be under the muscles of the players.. and vice versa....
lighting 14 will change the intense of shadow in the body but you need to edit first the shadow 13 first..
Note that in the global editor some values doesnt change all the parts of players.. some will only change the head and some will only change the body.... and also some players will not be affected of the values.... specially the players like duncan and also for white players.... coz players like them have a different position lighting values.....
example are lighting 18 and 19(66 66 E6 3F 58 55 D5 3F), like kobe's body skin type, that lighting 18 is not followed by lighting 19 but for kobe's head skin type, lighting 18 is followed by lighting 19 if you will see it in hex editor.... so if you change the values of lighting 18 and 19 in global editor only the head of kobe's skin type will change not their body...
