How to put your accessories texture to another global?

if you want to add those textures to a different global.IFF, you need to download the DDS textures and then use ModTool to apply the textures.

After you start ModTool, you have to open the Global.IFF file (the one you want to add the textures to) with it.

Once you open the file, you should see a lot of numbers in the left hand section of the window. When you find the texture number you want to replace, ModTool has an import button (ImportRes) in the upper right part of the program window. Use that to overwrite the old texture, and repeat for any other textures you want to replace.

Here's some progress on Dirk. In addition to the new face texture and updated nostrils, I've made a color adjustment to his hair and sharpened the details a little. Any suggestions or critiques so far?

The models are still going to need some work, but I started an updated cheerleader mod. The only problem is that the cheerleader uniform textures are in the team_###.iff files, so that means if I do update the cheerleaders, I'd have to package Enhanced Sidelines V2 with the Enhanced Crowd.

The good thing about combining the two mods is that I'd be able to further update the ballboy textures, too. Some of the ballboys and cheerleaders have pinkish looking attire (for some teams with red colors), so at least I'll be able to fix that like I did with the Enhanced Crowds.

I think the version w sharper features is taking it in the wrong direction. I think instead of sharper details, you should go with a cleaner, smoother look and try to emphasize the face shape with airbrushing instead.

Sorry to you guys who are waiting on new cyberfaces. I'm just about done with the new Enhanced Sidelines stuff and Dirk, so once they're released, it'll be nothin' but cyberfaces all month for me.

Thanks for the critique, man. It helped a lot. I took your advice and made his face a lot more smooth, tweaked his goatee and put it in-game. Any more suggestions?

The cheerleader model doesn't have any modeled breasts under the uniform, so I won't be able to add cleavage. The only way I could add it is if I added it to the uniform textures, but then I'd have to make every cheerleader the same skin tone. That, and a lot of the cheerleaders have the team's name where their boobs are, so that would complicate things even more. I do have some good news - I was able to improve their butts.

I've finalized the textures for the cheerleader uniforms. I'll need a second opinion on the new head models. I tried to make the jaw less manly and made them smile. I changed the two ponytail hairstyles to make them each different from each other. The glittery effect on the jerseys didn't look right with the new textures, so I applied it to the shoes instead. Since this mod will only change the cheerleader uniforms of the default 30 NBA teams, the other teams will still have glittery tops.



The ballboy changes are a little more subtle. I added better shadowing to his textures, and fixed the awkward dark wrinkles on his pants. The pants are a little shinier, and the shirt is even less shinier than before. His shoes are now black to hide that shiny "Chaos Emerald" look they had before.

These mods look amazing. Could you make Sonny Weems and Linas Kleiza? Sonny needs more hair aswell as LK.

Not sure if it only happens to me, but the cheerleader and generic CFs are F*cked up. No hair(lacks of details. almost bald). Can't post pics right now. Maybe on weekends.

now every time i watch a replay, click out and press "resume" my game crashes to the desktop.. this has been happening since i installed these patches..

Sidelines V2 has been released. I'll upload the new files to the NLSC download section after I post this.

NOTE: New team_###.iff files are included with the updated cheerleader/ballboy uniforms for the 30 standard NBA teams. These also include the Enhanced Crowd textures. If you don't want the Enhanced Crowd and only want the new 3D cheerleader models, then just install the gamedataextra.iff file and ignore the team_###.iff files.

The files should be available on the NBA 2K12 CD if you have it. (Not sure, since I have the Steam version.)

If you have Steam and didn't back up the original global.iff or gamedataextra.iff, Steam has an option that will let you re-download any of the default NBA 2K12 files that were replaced by mods. You'd go to Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

The only problem is that if you have any new cyberface mods or courts, you'll have to back those up since those will get overwritten, too.

Hmm...okay, it works fine now. Maybe it's because of the rookie showcase stadium? Damn PC doesn't have an internet connection so it's a bit hassle. But I'll take a screenshot if it happens agin.

Do you have an ATI video card? I remember a few guys complaining about visual bugs appearing on the players' hair (like the dark outline around your player's hair in the screenshot), when you had Adaptive Anti-Aliasing enabled on ATI cards for NBA 2K11. I think that bug carried over to 2K12.
