april 27,2012 Online Data crashed when hitting footlocker,any idea?

oppss my mistake,i emptied my online data folder thats why it crashed..

No worries.

And yes, I forgot to mention that the pack has been updated with last week's roster.

It doesn't look like a new roster is out yet this weekend, however a couple of new shoes came through earlier in the week. As such, I've updated the pack. If new rosters do come out this weekend, I'll be sure to update the pack again as soon as possible.

It seems like they are, I haven't been able to get the update that came out today. As soon as I can, I'll update the pack again.

My Online Data\downloads folder is being deleted after I play a game. I manually copy the folder to it's correct location and the downloads folder is gone after playing. C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Online Data I do not play online and I have the Living Rosters turned off. Autosave is turned on. I did have to login to 2KSports a week ago, which I haven't had to do since the initial install. Any solution ?

Was that after installing the official patch?

I managed to get connected and download the latest roster, so the May 5th roster and online data pack is now available.

i am playing using nba today,and it seems after the first quarter the game crashes, during the quarter break, whats wrong?

That's a very common problem that most people have experienced at one time or another. It was never addressed by the official patch and hope for an official fix is well and truly gone, though Leftos has tried a few unofficial solutions that you can give a shot. Unfortunately there's no surefire fix, though.

I now have to load my roster every time otherwise the default roster (pre-season) is loaded. In the past the game would load whatever roster that was in the saves folder or the alphabetically first roster. I posted this issue and someone said this happens post patch but my friend still has XP and he does not have this issue. Possibly this is a administrator/UAC problem.

The game loaded the alphabetically last roster pre-patch, not the first one. "zRoster" would be loaded instead of "Roster". Are you sure this behavior isn't the same after the patch as well?

Are you sure the Online Data downloads folder is deleted and never created again? The game does delete it when it's downloading the latest Online Data. So with the game running, go to your desktop, open Explorer, and go to your
%APPDATA%\2K Sports\NBA 2K12
folder.
Visit the Online Data folder. Is downloads there? If not, go to the Cache folder. If there's a patches folder there, then it just means the latest Online Data is being downloaded in the background. If none of the folders exist, that means the game can't connect to the 2K servers probably or something.

Just tried a trick with zRoster a few mins ago Leftos. Unfortunately, it does not work..

Leftos, I do not connect to the internet when playing nor do I want to. I never play online games. Pre patch I did not have this problem. I was also using Win XP. The online data folder was always there. Post patch I only used Win 7 so I don't know if this is a Win 7 or a post patch issue. I have manually copied the folder per Andrew's directions which used to work fine.

I did a little experiment. The OnLine Data is deleted when the game initially loads. The file is missing if I alt-tab at the main screen. I also used the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler. I made an 'online data' folder and copied the contents of the 'downloads' to this folder. Enabled it and tried a game with the Lakers. Metta World Peace is called by that name which is one of the purposes of that folder. I'll check if any players have missing sneakers plus whatever else the folder is supposed to correct.

I also noticed that the Lakers have Devin Ebanks in the starting lineup with Mr. Peace not on the roster due to his suspension.

Another new official roster came out yesterday, featuring updated rotations that reflect the latest injuries.

Actually Guys in Post-Patch you need to load it every time you start the game however if you start the game in pre-patch it will load the roster alphabetically for example ZRoster it will read that in pre-patch instead of roster

The final official roster update for NBA 2K12 has been released, containing final 2011/2012 season rosters and all injured players back in the active rosters. As such, the pack has been updated for the final time this season.

the online update doesn't appear in my game. I install it on the right folder, but it doesn't appear.
