NBA 2K12 Wishlist (Official Thread)

- Change Plays not for Position (Starting PG, Bench PF,...) but for Players.
e.g.: I've got a player which is a PG in the game, but i let him play SG. When he starts, he gets Starting SG plays. When he comes off the bench, he gets Bench PG plays.... I want him to have the same plays no matter if he comes of the bench or he starts! Would be better, if there would be the option to change plays for Rajon Rondo, not Starting PG, for Dirk Nowitzki, not Starting PF and for DJ Mbenga not Bench C!

- make it possible to save plays in online leagues. its annoying to change the plays at the begin of every single game...

add more accessories, goggles, facemasks, actual types of accesories, techfit sleeves, hexpad sleeves made by adidas, mcdavid etc. and editing home and away accesories, more points for my player, and possibly make it harder, because a 50 overall player in the starting lineup averaging 20 and 10 isn't realistic, better commantators, ability to export mp rosters

To be honest, this is the first time in years that I don't have any serious beef with an NBA game. Of course there are issues like the ridiculous intercepting abilities of defenders. But once you get used to it, you just learn to time your passing which renders this issue redundant.
Taking charges is almost impossible, but there are plenty other ways to stop the CPU from scoring. So that's minor for me.
If anything, then allow for more variety / easier import of pics and cyberfaces in an association to keep long-time-motivation up.

Other than that:
I LOVE THIS GAME!

I'll second pgasol16's comment about exporting MP roster. Same with accessories. Also, the create a player face part. More variation about making faces. And better commentary. Still amazing, just change it up.

id love to be able to add more players and teams when doing trades

Idk if people will agree or not, or if it's even allowed. But at the quick game menu, under "game options" you should be able to choose between Marv Albert and Steve kerr, mike breen, kevin Harlan and Reggie miller, or just different commentators for the games.

- smoother online gameplay
- ability to play with historic/or created teams online
- ability to use any pro in my player mode
- online tournaments that anyone can join at any time EX: every 5 minutes have a join able tournament
- improved dynamic attendance
- add more rpg elements to my player mode
- improve signature moves

Lol, I can't see this ever being done. But if it could, that would be immensely awesome.

They should make something like nba.com top 10 in associaton mode, if possible, add dwight howard sleeve and other accsesories and make some european teams or national selections

WARNING: Long read

To add to the gameplay:
-Have more realistic deflections. Yes, at times I make lazy and bad passes, but other times I feel that the CPU is more ready for my pass than the player on my team, and they don't even look at the ball when they deflect it.
-Whenever you get stuck into an animation where the CPU makes you pick up your dribble, your teammates just stand there not doing anything. Have them move around and try to get open.
-Have a greater possibility of jumpballs. Right now they're as rare as the 10-second free throw violation call.
-Actually make it possible to draw charges. It's impossible in this game.

Presentation/Commentary:
-Have the crowd be more into the game. Have them chant defense loudly and more frequently when a game is close for their home team. When the home team makes a clutch shot or a momentum changing shot, have them cheer loudly and stand up from their seats.
-Have Harlan and Kellogg discuss a player's free throw % when they're about to shoot free throws.
-I like the idea mentioned earlier about the commentators discussing a generated player's history, implement that. Also if a generated player does something, like win ROY, or any awards, have them mention that.
-Before a free throw from the visiting team, have the crowd use bangers or wave their hands and boo them so they can distract them for a miss. Also have the control vibrate faster if the user is the visiting team.
-When a game-winning buzzer-beater is made, have the crowd cheer loudly (if it was by the home team), or boo loudly. Also have the commentators get excited.
-Keep the halftime report, and spark of the game
-In 2K10 there was the Ice Cold Keys to the Game, but not in 2K11. Add it back for 2K12.
-Have a key story/happening before a game in NBA Today, Association, or My Player mode (ex. Chauncey Billups averaging 30 ppg in the last 3 games, etc.)

Game Modes:
-I like the idea mentioned earlier of including the NCAA in the game. That'd be great for MP mode, allows you to increase your attributes before the draft combine, though of course that's highly unprobable.
-Be able to take my created players into practice mode
-If possible (likeness rights), retain the Jordan Challenge, or maybe add more challenges/new classic teams.
-Different courts in Blacktop, the current one is just way too dark
-Have the three-point contest be realistic for the user. I can literally win it with Ben Wallace, and that shouldn't happen.
-Fix the firing/hiring coaches bug.
-Have an option/slider for auto play-calling in MP.
-Have teammate chemistry be more realistic in MP mode and association. There are way too many teams below 30%, even some who aren't sub-par.
-Have realistic objectives in MP. There are many times where the game expects me to get 14 assists in a game when I barely average 5 a game. Another one is the game expects me to make 5 three-point shots when my three-point shot attribute is at 60.
-Have more realistic scores in association/MP. There are way too many double-digit simmed games. I've also noticed that teams go to the free throw line over 40 times a game at times, fix that too.
-In MP mode, the player that's supposed to be guarding you keeps up with you way too easily off the ball. He shouldn't be right at my tail when I'm running around the perimeter. He also seems to always know where I'm going. There are also times when my PG gets a mismatch on the opposing team's center, and he is still able to keep up with me despite my 90 in speed. This is one thing that should definitely be fixed.
-It's almost impossible to set off-ball screens during plays in MP mode because I always get bumped by my defender, and then that causes me to set it the wrong way. Have less collision animations when playing off-the-ball, or at least have a way to break them.
-The opposing team in MP has way too many advantages over the user's teammates. My teammates miss wide open threes, while they make heavily contested deep threes. Have more balance between teammate AI and opposing AI in MP mode.
-When starting MP mode, we are given way too little. If I'm a 6'11" center, I should be able to dunk without having to upgrade my ratings. No way a player makes it as far as the draft combine with ratings that low.
-Have a slider for how difficult it is to get more playing time. I'm a 65-rated PG with the TrailBlazers who's getting 38 minutes in the rotation, and I was a second round pick. That's unheard of in the NBA.

My real wish list (All Association)

Association:
-Be able to scout players at College Games. Would make things really cool and stuff.
-On the day you make a trade, not have those players playing. Make it like if you traded 4 players and you have a game that day, that you play with 8.
-Player roles needs a fixing, especially for teams like the Celtics.
-I remember in NBA Live 10, the crowd was so into it during playoff games, especially Final ones. Add more fan power.
-If you're facing a rival, have the players get more physical during the game.
-Let's say you are in a Celtics association. You are facing the Lakers this week. Kevin Garnett can say, "Screw the Fakers." and you can back it up or tell him to take it back.
-Real D-League rosters, not freaking 7'4 Drew Cook.

To add to the Basketball 2012 idea.

In Association and My Player have them start in preseason as per usual (maybe NCAA or Euro-league or a National squad for My Player), then regular season, then playoffs. After that though Olympic qualifiers and then training camps, then warm up matches, then the London Olympics, then back to NBA. The next offseason 4-5 NBA teams head to Europe and play preseason games vs Euro league teams. Also have World Championship qualifiers. Play the NBA season as per usual then the next off-season have final WC qualifiers, training camps, warm ups then the WC in Spain. Then repeat that 4 year cycle. Injuries carry on, so an ACL tear might ruin your club and countries hopes.

The ability to sign in between the NBA and Euro-league

Custom arena and player music. Would come in very handy during the international games, having national anthems or patriotic chants.

I like the crowd leaving idea

Have make believe celebs sitting front row (that way nobody has to pay real ones, but we could mod real ones in anyway)

I hope in create a team, the team logo should not be in the jerseys instead that will serve as the court logos.
It's annoying when you have ABCD logos on your jerseys.

- NO CRASHES AFTER GAMES

- Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller on the commentary

- Real All-Star Weekend (They have the real court, license for Sprite and insist in putting the Blacktop Dunk Contest), with complete Weekend (Shooting Stars and Skills Challenge are more difficult to have, but the real 3-point contest and Slam Dunk are possible, principally 'cause they have the Sprite license)

- When you arrive at a team already with a star, and it's in your position (Like arriving at the Lakers being an SG), when you finally come to be a starter, throw you to a different position (Like PG in Lakers), and keep the star. In some teams, you enter in place of the star.

- Possibility to sign up sponsorships with different brands, not only Jordan, and have endorsements as well.

- Adidas, Nike and NBA sleeves (they have the license for the logo-showing, what's the matter on putting the sleeves?)

- Many more shoes.

- Socks while using Calf Sleeves.

- More color channels to shoes (just a base and 2 colors is not sufficient)

- "Create a Logo" option, allows you to create your own PE logo to MP

- More realistic colors (Red is pink in game, black is grey...)

- Again, NO CRASHES AFTER GAMES haha

2K12 should add a mouthpiece as an accessory and give it a special animation like how Blake Griffin, LeBron James, and Gerald Wallace always stick out their mouthpiece and bites it. It'll be awesome.

Guess it has to be a wish for next year in a game of the year. It would be nice if players remain out of the game after they foul out.

Things I remember now:

ABOUT TRADES

- Possibility to trade MLEs

- Possibility to Lottery protect the picks

- Possibilty to involve more teams on the trade

- More realistic CPU reactions (if the CPU makes an offer, being the Bulls, of Boozer for Amar'e, with the player being the Knicks, the trade is ok. If you try to trade Boozer for Amar'e, YOU being the Bulls, they ask for more things)

- Better Trade Finder (the CPU can make ridiculous offers, like Brand + Young for Rose + Bogans, but you can't make a decent offer)

LOL, wrestling games I think have some 4-6 commentators you can choose from.

A very important thing in My Player

- Possibility to put SECONDARY POSITIONS to your player

so disappointing hay..
-more shoes
-users can assign and adjust shorts for their players eq. short shorts for my player only
-more reactions on commentators during crucial game
-technical fouls and flagrant fouls or even include trash talks and pushing but for sure 2k wouldn't do that "rated E"
-realistic pre-game routines
-hand contacts for players like hand check after a shot or free throws and in making plays for the team
-improve game play for both cpu and user
-players approaching officials for question
-make an option to edit roster on my player mode because it so disappointing when u want to play for your favorite player then suddenly the team trade happens
-more staff on the side lines eq. towel boy or Gatorade boy and some staff of the teams for cheering
-more realistic body figure some or most of the players has very tiny head and large muscle so annoying
-more emotions for block shots and last minutes shots
-etc
