He's out for the season following heart surgery, so they've removed him from the roster.

Hopefully soon, no specific dates have been given. Hopefully now that the season has begun, any contract related issues will be resolved. That's about the extent of the info that 2K have offered on the matter so far.

Hopefully they do soon, cause a bunch of 2nd rounders have been signed, I know Isaiah Thomas on the Kings has and I wanna start a Kings association lol.

Isn't it curious that they haven't updated the Canton Charge files? Not even the name on the roster? I know most of you guys don't care about the D-League, I don't that much either, but I thought that they had all the licenses for it, and for bragging about being a game with deep detail they only seem to care about big detail (still no Greivis/Pondexter?). I think a real D-League can provide much more depth and realism to association mode, expand quick game modes further, and make their lives easier updating rosters mid season (Chris Johnson POR, Greg Stiemsma BOS, just a couple of players they could've already have in game). Well, do they really have all the licenses for it? What is the real reason behind them ignoring this for a few years now?

I agree, 2K and EA ('cos I expect there'll be Elite 13) as well, have to put their attention more to the D-League players. I played Association/Dynasty mode a lot, and now I felt this mode being a bit tiresome imo.

Its the same reason that in mlb 2k / the show, the very important minor leagues (more important than D-league IMO) are missing many key players (e.g. high draft picks like Bryce Harper that haven't played in mlb before). If they want to get some of the players you are missing, they have to get ALL of the players, and given rosters on the D-league are more fluid than the NBA teams, a lot more work, having to wait for clearances from players association etc.

Not only the popup with the two players announcing a future game, but in the halftime show, east and west players, coaches and rookies of the month. They pimped NBA Today, now they should update the rosters.

Greivis/Pondexter? Pietrus? Stackhouse? Lin? Adrien? How many more? One click moves waiting over a week to be done. That's not good enough.

Yeah I agree too, good call. Definitely save them some time, there's always a good dozen or so D-League callups every year. Also the depth of Association mode will feel alot more real.

Depends if what they're saying about non-guaranteed deals is accurate. It still seems strange to me given what EA were able to do with DNA updates but that's the brief explanation that's been offered so far. They've released eight roster updates so far, I'd expect more are coming in the near future now that the season has begun. Hopefully whatever roadblock is keeping some of the players of the rosters will be cleared by the next update.

No, it was a typo on my part; the second "of" is meant to be "off". Probably not vital that it was pointed out but correct all the same.

Nope. I doubt one would be coming on New Year's Day, so I wouldn't expect anything for at least a few more days.
