NBA 2K12 Producer/MC Contest

2K Sports and Duck Down Music have once again partnered up for a contest that will give aspiring producers and MCs the chance to be featured on the NBA 2K12 soundtrack. Beginning today, producers will have the opportunity to submit a sample-free instrumental track with the winner being announced on April 14th. MCs will then have two weeks to submit a track with clean lyrics over the winning instrumental track. Last year's winners were Bayroot productions and MC Young Automatik, who provided the track Go Hard or Go Home. In addition to being featured on the NBA 2K11 soundtrack, Go Hard or Go Home was also used in commercials for the game which aired during the 2010 NBA Finals.

Cool, one problem I had with last years tho is I think The Greatest by Jo Blak was better lol

The NBA 2K12 Producer/MC Contest has entered its second phase starting today. Alex Kresovich's "The Return" was selected as the winning instrumental track and can be downloaded here from the Duck Down website. MCs now have two weeks to submit a clean track using "The Return" with the top ten finalists being selected by Duck Down and 2K Sports and then presented to the fans, whose vote will decide which entry makes the cut for the NBA 2K12 soundtrack. That was annoying. Great beat with a crappy mc. What a waste, imo. The vocals just didn't match the music very well.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of it, but congrats to him all the same.

Winner sucks. The instrumental or the beat is awesome.
