Greatest Roster Ensemble of All-Time (First jerseys RLSD!!)

Postby MysteriousUnknown560 on Sun Mar 27, 2011 3:26 pm

Welcome to NBA G.R.E.A.T. - Greatest Roster Ensemble of All-Time

There are a lot of all-time roster mods right here in NLSC. It seems that these mods are not that complete in terms of considering an 'all-time' roster mod. In this mod, I'm going to step it up to the next level. My main aim is to create the greatest all-time roster mod here in 2k series.

This mod still needs some help. Anyone who's up for the help will be a big contribution to this mod. So far, cyberfaces, shoe patches from respected and well-know 2k series modders and Fifedawg (ratings patcher) contributed. I also made my own cyberfaces for some player who doesn't have any cyberface.

Here are the list of what are going to be in this mod.

Roster:
Compilation of all greatest players on their respected teams
One player could only appear on only one roster
Player is identified with a specific year, where he either received awards, career achievements, career-high stats, etc.
Portraits added and updated to the added players, fully-colored
Correct in-game animations and signature moves for specific players
Correct attributes, tendencies, and hot-spots for specific players
Correct body type, accessories and shoes
Correct player info (bios, drafts, etc.)
Correct cyberface and CAP for specific players
HD player's cyberface
Correct in-game name call on each player
Players should have 3 or more years experience on the team designated to be eligible for the team's roster (except for the Charlotte Bobcats which is the youngest team on NBA since 2004)

Jerseys:
HD jerseys
Modern jerseys with greatest retro jeseys of each franchise
Short shorts used for modern gameplay

Shoes:
HD shoes
Shoes added and change for specific players

Coaches and Staffs:
Greatest coach of each team recreated (Red Auerbach for example)
HD coaches' and staffs' cyberface

Courts:
Realistic crowds
Correct court floors
HD court floors
Realistic dornas
HD and realistic floor reflections

Sliders:
Realistic slider

I'm going to credit all patchers and modder here in NLSC that contributed in this project once I release this.

Release date: April - May

Here is the Philadelphia 76ers all-time roster preview:

PF: Charles Barkley - 34 - 1987-1988 (28.3 PPG - 11.9 RPG - 3.2 APG - 1.3 SPG - 1.3 BPG)
SF: Billy Cunningham - 32 - 1969-1970 (26.1 PPG - 13.6 RPG - 4.3 APG)
SG: Julius Erving - 6 - 1980-1981 (24.6 PPG - 8.0 RPG - 4.4 APG - 2.1 SPG - 1.8 BPG)
PG: Allen Iverson - 3 - 2000-2001 (31.1 PPG - 3.8 RPG - 4.6 APG - 2.5 SPG - 0.3 BPG)
SM: Dolph Schayes - 4 - 1959-1960 (22.5 PPG - 12.8 RPG - 3.4 APG)
7: Johnny 'Red' Kerr - 43 - 1961-1962 (16.3 PPG - 14.7 RPG - 3.0)
8: Andre Iguodala - 9 - 2007-2008 (19.9 PPG - 5.4 RPG - 4.8 APG - 2.1 SPG - 0.6 BPG)
9: Hal Greer - 15 - 1963-1964 (23.3 PPG - 6.1 RPG - 4.7 APG)
10: Andrew Toney - 22 - 1982-1983 (19.7 PPG - 2.8 RPG - 4.5 APG - 1.0 SPG - 0.2 BPG)
11: Bobby Jones - 24 - 1981-1982 (14.4 PPG - 5.2 RPG - 2.5 APG - 1.3 SPG - 1.5 BPG)
12: Maurice Cheeks - 10 - 1985-1986 (15.4 PPG - 2.9 RPG - 9.2 APG - 2.5 SPG - 0.3 BPG)
IR: Hersey Hawkins - 33 - 1992-1993 (20.3 PPG - 4.3 RPG - 3.9 APG - 1.7 SPG - 0.4 BPG)
IR: Doug Collins - 20 - 1977-1978 (19.7 PPG - 2.9 RPG - 4.1 APG - 1.6 SPG - 0.3 BPG)
IR: Darryl Dawkins - 53 - 1979-1980 (14.7 PPG - 8.7 RPG - 1.9 APG - 0.6 SPG - 1.8 BPG)

Note 1: Cyberfaces of Chamberlain, Kerr, and Jones are made by me.
Note 2: Julius Erving had a great career in New York Nets (present-day New Jersey Nets). However, that was ABA and he only spent 3 years in Nets. Erving had more success in 76ers and longer career.

Charlotte Bobcats all-time roster preview
Image

Note 1: This is the youngest team in the NBA so a player who spent only two or more years should be eligible for the all-time roster.
Note 2: Sean May is more productive in points, rebounds, and efficiency given enough time than Boris Diaw.
Note 3: Jason Richardson spent two years in Bobcats. Richardson had more solid career in Warriors and Suns. However, these two teams are filled with great guards and shooters. So, Richardson slides to Bobcats roster making Bobcats a solid contender.
Note 4: Stephen Jackson also had a solid career in Warriors but with the same explanation, he slides to Bobcats roster. He'll play sixth man to provide a great bench depth.

Chicago Bulls all-time roster preview
Image

Note 1: Cyberfaces of Gilmore, Love, and Sloan are made by me.
Note 2: Rodman's cyberface and tattoos are from a patch in 2k10. I forgot who made it but credits to him.
Note 3: Some player's jersey number is the identical to other players. The more player who had a more impact and success will get the number. The other player will use a secondary number he's using if his original number is used. For example, Bob Love and B.J. Armstrong has the same jersey number 10. However, Love had more successful career than Armstrong so he'll get number 10. Armstrong will use 11, the number he's always using in other teams.

jeffreyestacio27, Dennis Rodman will be on the Bulls' roster. The Pistons are crowded with a lot of big guys so he slides to the Bulls team. Bulls need some hustles and rebounding from Rodman.

Mr. Mysteriousunknown560, i tried it in other topic, but the guys over there don't want to give feedback to develop my idea, that's allright! I'm not pissed off or bored, i just have an idea... And maybe you are the right man to listen...

I have a thousand of old jerseys, in my NBA Live 2004 game... I can send them all to you, if you want to use them on your own project... I know that the plataforms are different (EA Live series vs. 2K series), but i have jerseys from older years like the 50's, 60's, 70's & 80's and ABA ones (this ones are just for fun! They are not so welldone), but imagine how spetactular to embrace the idea of a historical patch is?

I have a big, big, biiiig collection of jerseys... You don't even imagine...
I know too, that time to develop them will sure be needed, but with pacience and effort i know that can be done. I work years in a row to build my own NBA live 2004 collection, and now i just want to be helpful in someway...

Thank you very much anyway, and keep the "A"mazing job!
People don't know how much time we lost at those creations and at this patch work. But i know! And respect a lot your capacity!

Be confortable to ask any questions,
And i hope we can make some progress... Just in case, i have a hundred of shoes, courts, cfc's, skins, scoreboards... but all of them in the NBA Live 2004 game.
Thanks anyway for your time. (Y)

Are you just copying ESPN's version of their greatest roster ensemble? If so, why not just use Wolfbeard's conversion mod since he pretty much did the same thing?

jonhpipepipe, your the only person that expresses the same feelings of making historical patches. I feel the same way you feel. Are you willing to help me with jersey patching. I know you're not a well-known patcher but it doesn't mean that you're not good. Share me your jerseys and try to convert in to 2k series. Show pictures of your jerseys and shoes here in this thread and I'll decide. So far I don't receive any help but so far, only you is willing to help.

iJunaid, ESPN's version is my basis as well as Wolfbeard's basis. Mine is way different. Complete cyberfaces that is specially made for this project. He might did the same thing but it's that complete I think. He's roster has redundant like Shaq is in two roster. Read my description above and you'll see. This project is really exciting after this is done.

All right, it sounds great...
I'm really looking foward too!

But some aspects have to be told before i send the archives to you:

1) First of all, all the older patchers from the other NBA Live Series got to be credit about this, and they are so many that i can't reffer them all in here. I said it in case you decide to use some of my own stuff.

2) I'm really not a excelente patcher, just a guy whom wants to have fun and study about the game, so i became a decent patcher for the NBA Live 2004 (it's very important to mark the diference between EA and 2K Sports games to don't frustrate others).

3) And at last but not least, you're not alone at all, that a lot of great patchers down here, Mr. Wolfbeard's has already make some progress at his project, so if we combine forces, maybe we can make a better game for all.

P.S. I contact you with a PM later, with other minor details, all right Sr?
And thanks a lot by the way. (Y)
