Shiny Ball

I'm making a NCAA ball for NBA 2K11 and have the texture and everything sorted but in game the ball gets really shiny for whatever reason and I don't know how to fix this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Is there an alpha layer to account for the lighting? That's about all I can think of.

It would be better to use black color on alpha, but in this case at least one pixel must be in different color, because if not, alpha layer will be removed.
