Re: SHADOW MOD XXX-5 ----RELEASED

Tue Dec 07, 2010 5:30 am

Please, please someone find out how to use that grainy filter that only activates at the end of the match on replays.

It looks absurdly AWESOME. This with shadow 5 and Crysis, plus that filter that I really want in-game (looks like a shader applied to the colors, so it shouldn't even affect framerate).

Almost indistinguishable from reality.

Added another slightly bigger to show the grain.

How can I remove this message without removing its files in NBA folder?

I've only played 2 games with different globals so far so the screens don't really show much.

From what I've observed, V3 seems like the players have "shine" whilst v5 is a smudge darker and smoother color. I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder since they are all great!

EDIT:

@ Fadeout: Yeah, it would be nice if we could play around with such effect.

@ Anmino: I would prefer it on, it indicates that your ENB mod is working, besides it will only flash for a couple of seconds :)

@aienz2k2 Because I found out that those MOD FILES is the reason why NBA is crashing when launching the game through Xfire.

judging from pictures you took and their particular angles I would rank them as follows:

1st place: either XXX-5 or XXX-3
2nd-last place :D: xxx-4 (dark neck and the colors (especially on face) make the skin look quite unrealistic in comparison to XXX-5 and XXX-3 where it looks amazingly real).

IMO and based on my monitor (which is calibrated a little darker for my own preference) would be:

1st - XXX-3
2nd - XXX-5
3rd - XXX-4

EDIT:

@ Teddy : Why did you call me Aienzkee? Where did you get that? :P

It's a problem (a conflict) with the enb series, not only with v.0.075 which is also used for NBA 2K11, also for all the other enb versions normally used with GTA.
There is a conflict with d3d9.dll based tools like Xfire and MSI Afterburner which causes the game + enb series mod to crash.
The reason it crashes is X-Fire uses a d3d9.dll to run its in-game features and the ENB Series mod also is based on a d3d9.dll file, if you want to use enb based modding for NBA 2K11 you have to play it without xfire or say goodbye to enbseries based NBA 2K11 modding.
You can use the modified global files with Xfire but you can not use the d3d9.dll file based enb series modding together with Xfire.
If you delete the d3d9.dll file of johndoe's enb series based mod Xfire will load but the enb series based mod will not load, so there is only either ... or.

If you want to make screenhsots or capture video files use Fraps for ENB modded NBA 2K11.

By the way the shadow+photo mod includes or not the better jerseys I'm seeing in the screenshots?

I can't figure out which mods are suggested... ;)

Re: SHADOW MOD XXX-5 ----RELEASED

Hmm, my game seems to not start if I have the Crysis Photo Mod d3d9.dll in the 2k11 directory, did I install correctly or does my computer hate enb? I tired enb for GTA San Andreas and it crashes also if I try to enable it.

@Fadeout agreed, so many mods to choose from, my mind is going to explode

EDIT: weird...I changed the name from d3d9.dll to d3dx9.dll and it works
EDIT: Is it shift+F12 to start the crysis photo mod?

I forgot where I got the jerseys from, something with HD jerseys on the title of the thread. Sorry bro.

It's here: http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=136&t=75780

I took some screenshots with and without but I can't understand what it changes. The texture looks the same...

Also, the photo mod is enabled through shortcuts? Huh?

Wow that filter is really amazing. Let's hope any of the modding wizards we got here find it and deliver it to us

Thanks for these explanation. Now I better understand this problem, Actually I really want to fix this problem because I prefer to use Xfire for my screen shot rather than Fraps. But if these problem has no solution, well its okay.
Thanks again.

i've notice some players looks red a little bit.. anyway good job!

Re: SHADOW MOD XXX-5 ----RELEASED

Tue Dec 07, 2010 5:59 pm

the redness will be coming from the enbseries not the shadowmod.
need to remember shadowmod is a global tweak.
enbseries is a different tweak.
So if u think its too red try one of the many other enbseries tweaks

ANMINO
try renaming your d3d9.dll file in nba2k11 to d3d9-2.dll see if that will allow it to work while xfire is running.
I cant try it right now but heard it might work let me know if it does.

It works, its just the same when you rename d3d9.dll to any other name like d3d9x.dll. But when you do that renaming the file, the ENB MOD will not work. So its useless.
Anyway, Thank you for this.
