inside the REDitor, dont change the GiD's. It makes the game crash during association/my player/playoff modes and causes crashes with NBA Today.

Oh ok so how am I suppose to assign coaches to a team?

Downloaded and installed REDitor II 5, and ran as admin and I still get this message.

"Unable to write c:\Editing Tools\REDeditor II\Parameters\Config.cfg."

any fix for this?

my bad, I misunderstood you

to change coaches you goto the teams tab and change it in the staff section. you type in the coaches ID in there

Well, at first, i thought, inputting "0" will remove it. But it seems there is some boolean, which sets the team to use Years value or not. I'll take a look into this later.
Still, in your case you can simply swap retro-Sonics and Thunder rows (by copy-pasting), this will solve the issue.

Also I renamed a school and it doesn't show ingame

yep looks like u were right about my error must of been a problem with rotations or something.

Got it working now an ready to start my association.

Got 96 Jordan in current bulls lineup without having to move him from the 96-97 team
Got Rodman an Barkley on free agency list ready to be picked up by any team so i get to pay against them
Plus got my created player in my team.

- open your reditor
- open your roster
- go to the jersey tab
- look for the right Jersey ua019 for the Nuggets
- go to the Socks Tab
- 0 is White and 1 is Black

Hey Vl@d, congrats on creating a must-get tool for the 2K patching community and distributing advanced versions at a relatively low price! I'm sure all of your hard work will pay off nicely.

A little question about the editing MYPLAYER files:
If I get the Player version and the option to open and save .CMG files - would switching two players' team IDs in ReditorII work as a trade? Has anyone tried that, does it work? What about draft picks? Let's say I want to do the Arenas-Lewis swap and etc. or any future trades in my .CMG file.

Under the coaches tab it doesn't seem as if values can reach their max. I tried changing a coaches salary from 1000000 to 3000000 and it turned into 000000. Also some 2 digit values cant be turned into 3.
