hey bro this WILL BE GREAT and I would LOVE to help u but I can't do CFs, Jerseys, Courts OR ANYTHING. But if u want a little weight off ur shoulders I will make the Roster for you. Good plan?
EDIT: Whoops looks like you've already got that covered but anything that doesn't involve the blender & photoshop I think I can do for you

Yeah, the roster is actually done. Just need to do the draft positions.

Now, what I have been REALLY focusing on is the gameplay. I think I have the sliders close to perfect to mimic the 1987 season. Check out some pictures from a game I played. The 85-86 Celtics vs. The 85-86 Bulls just to see how the game played. Got to say, one HELL of a game. HOF/12 min and OT!

SCARIEST MOMENT IN MY LIFE! They did a hell of an inbound pass with some time to kill on the clock, Ainge ALMOST got it in!

Okey but total of team rebounds of these 2 teams = 67.

Average of each team in the NBA finals for '87 was 40, which would equal 80 total rebounds in a game. Only thing that really bothers me is the amount of steals, turnovers and fouls. Doesn't seem realistic for a game back then. Fouls at least, i was trying to go for a more agressive style of game. Steals seems fine because I brought down the passing attribute so you'll see more mistakes, especially if your feet are not planted right and you're throwing to a teammate in a fast break >.>

Yes thats true :D

How you deal with the teams like Magic, Bobcats, Wolves, Heat? are they still available or you deleted them?

It would be nice if they are still available, for my own association i would add some created players to them or something like that. Maybe some fictive nonames.

Man you put very much effort in it, picking out all those stats , birthdays-towns draft year is really a tremendous work.

was thinking about the same thing,
I suggest that you can put in classic teams with players that were not in the league,
so like 60s celtics, 72 lakers, 70 Knicks,
or even add a hypothetical team, like the euro all stars including sabonis and all the guys that didn't come to to league in 1987,
it would be great.

Or you can do a personal favour for me and make the '85 Lakers (as there wouldn't be much work involved since you'd have the '87 Lakers) :P But seriously, whatever you feel like doing or what most people would prefer.

As of now, the roster is done with the years pro, age, college and anything they might need when they call out the name in game. The draft and the actual birthdays don't really matter (except for draft classes or just fun information) I will put that as an update. Now I want to focus on what I need to release the roster. Still need somebody to do courts. I did some CF's just working on more. Lean is working on the jerseys but he barely has time. Now I'm basically flying solo with this mod but trust me when I say it WILL be released with everything detailed down to the coaches and the records of the teams for that year. I also added plays (you'll see alot of post play) and tendencies for certain players from what I've seen.

About the magic, heat and other teams. I deleted them completely. I made the roster so the first 23 teams are the teams active that year. (Sacremento kings went down to Miami heat spot. Washinton bullets went ALL the way to the bobcats spot. Nuggets went to the lakers spot etc....) after the 23 active teams, I added the all star teams for the east and the west. Usually they're located at the end. After the all star team, I added 6 legends team for each decade (50,60,70,80,90 and 00) then after I added a team that will be a thank you gift to all the people that worked hard on this mod. Basically a NLSC mod team with our personal CFs and usernames. The 2000 team and the mod team will be taking up the spot of the east and west all star team. Thus they won't be editable in game. Only way to edit is on reditor. Basically my little stamp in game. I decided to go this route because the 72 lakers and 60 celtics can always be added as a created team if somebody decides to release a .TMM file. Or I might just do it if I get bored as a created team of course :)

STILL NEED HELPERS WITH THIS MOD! ;)

For association mod you can play against these legends team. Just bring their ratings down (or keep them up. Time traveling association o.O)

Good luck with this one. Should be fun to play! It would be cool if the jerseys weren't so baggy like 2K made them. Back then the shorts were very short, and the jerseys and the shorts not baggy at all.

great idea for adding the legend teams obviously, but the problem is, players may want to experience a pure 86-87 association,
of course there is no way to replicate it,
but adding the legends will distort the balancing of different teams.
We won't want 2 michael jordans or 2 birds on the stats,

those classic teams can be loaded as TMM files,
but if we put them as the default 30 teams,

we can avoid: 1. duplicated players 2. overloaded teams that will distort the power rankings

as of now, I don't think there is a better solution, there are 7 spots to fill up, and it won't be an easy task to fill up all of them.

I mean some of the 90s expansion teams like the magic and heats, we can just use the actual 90s rosters,
like 98 heat, PJ brown, tim hardaway, alonzo mourning, and many others were not yet in the league in 1987,
same with Penny, Shaq, etc.
so we can just add those teams

 :bowdown2:

I love the first impressions.

I never played HOF, but i think turnovers and steals are a bit to strong  Anyway this is getting better with every update .

Idea: Why don't you help Stompthecourt with his mod, and in return he helps you with yours? That way both mods will get done quickly

We exchange words a couple of times. He really doesn't need help (besides a court designer I think) because he already has a base to work on. The base being the 2k10 1996-97 mod.

I do believe he is way more ahead then me. Was this idea tossed around before, I would have been all ears but since we're nearing the end, we're both just trying to organize the team and have everything ready for the community. Appreciate the feedback though :applaud:
