about player rating, i'm sure that our point of view are different, so please stop asking kova to change the player ratings.

That is the issue right there. The only rating that is should be based on opinion should be Potential. Everything else should be based on fact, with stats to back them up.

Rashidi needs to get his ass in gear on a PC roster...

Ratings are 90% of a good roster. I can look at Kova's ratings and find many inconsistencies that simply will ruin the gameplay for me. Examples such as a Player A averaging more blocks per game, and having a high block% than Player B, yet Player B still has a much higher block rating. Offensive minded players having a higher defensive awareness than offensive, and vice-versa.

Don't even get me started on the tendency numbers.

Perhaps Kova doesn't have the time to objectively rate all of the players using stats to back everything up. And that is fine.

agreed, updated ratings are crucial, everyone who downplays ratings is completely lacking any common sense at all, and all you people not named kova19 and aren't associated with him making his rosters please shut ur mouth at comments that are not directed at you so we dont get your simple-minded responses.

in fact one could argue that you all morons that say "you can fix ratings yourself" can also fix trades and transitions yourself as well, no way what an idea huh? in fact it takes about 10 minutes to complete all those trades and number edits so you dont have to wait for the next update to start your association (really?)

kova19 does an amazing job with the shoes/accessories and compatibility with portraits and i am very appreciative of his work. but as lunatic said ratings are probably 90% percent of the roster...(guess what the 2k network changes in its constant roster updates more than anything??? ratings, good job to the 2 of you that got it right) See some players actually get under rated or are rated lower than what they are, for example derrick rose, blake griffin, lamarcus aldridge to name some big names and then you have every other player that probably has had their ratings adjusted as well, so 2k adjusts them accordingly.

i guess its a hard concept to grasp, seems pretty simple to me

The only thing I think is wrong in 2K11, not only in Kova's roster is Kobe rated lower than LeBron.

The rest, I'll do myself, because I've updated tons of shoes here, so I can't put another roster there, I'll lose all my work.

In my opinion, the best thing Kova could do would be to get in contact with Rashidi and see if they can get a collaborative project set up.

I'm having a 'little' problem with this Kova roster, in "My Player" Mode. I created two players that I added to the Knicks roster (previous players I built in the My Player mode), in replacement to Curry and Williams.

Then my PG is drafted by the Knicks, yeepee. But when the Summer Circuit begins, my player is not even on the bench, and has been replaced by Anthony Mason Jr (which is a player created by Kova and placed in the Austin Toros). So I can't prove my value during the 4 matchs and I'm cut off. Back to the main menu, I cannot delete this Mason player, since he is playing for the Toros (by the way he is labeled as "Free Agent" but he is really playing for the Toros). I tried the same process with him placed in a NBA roster (for example Magic Orlando), but same result.


Any idea ?? I know I can make with the standard roster, but I would love to use this one.

I always said ratings are my objective opinion.. So why don't you use 2k's offical roster and ratings instead in future.. I bet they are great with some players having 97 and some 51.. Great!! I bet thats realistic! Guards having passing ability of 35.. LOL! If I played in NBA I'd be better than that!

Over 30 pages on NBA 2k10, over 30 in 2k11.. Over 20000 downloads for my rosters.. I'm proud of that.. I was nothing.. Now everybody knows of my rosters.. That says something.. My rosters were always about community, not individual requests.. I never forced nobody to use them, it was always your choice..

I'm going to USA over summer.. No more Kova rosters.. Enjoy whatever you find.. I hope Albys and Juza stick around.. They are great guys who also put a lot of effort for community.. You should appreciate it more!

I, personally, appreciate all of your work, and I happen to find most of your ratings okay. If I don't, it's very easy to change them myself. Thank you for the hard work. I know what it's like to make rosters (I work on rosters for the official Madden NFL 08 mod.) It's hard. Thank you, and enjoy your summer.

dont listen to the haters man,,,,you are doing a perfect job,I really enjoy your roster,without that this game will be not the same,you have to know that whatever you do you always will found this kind of people.but there is a lot of people who really appreciete your works and your effort

As I said to Johndoe once, you can never please everybody and that is just the way it is... No matter how hard you try there will always be something, that a few people won't agree with... I think its just the way we are, different and subjective . So Kova don't let it bother you, that you can't please everyone 100%, its just the way it is... Oh and a really great Roster in my opinion, the ratings as you said are subjective and if someone has a different opinion its easy to change them yourself...

You can also think that Kova provide us a BASE to start from, with missing players added, rosters updated and ratings slightly modified. In a nutshell, a hell of a job. Then YOU can bring your own modifications, in order to make this roster more conform to the world you're living on. Because rating a player is the most subjective thing and no one will never be able to build a roster satisfying everyone.

But maybe this is a concept too hard to grasp for you.

You just don't get it, do you?? The ratings are subjective matter, and I'm trying to be as objective as I can be from my information and knowledge through following NBA games and statistics..
Accessiories are always based on REAL thing.. So go to gettyimages, enter some Knicks player and see what kind of accessories he wears home and away!! Thats real stuff, no mistake.. It's NOT personal request! Now, if there's team like Charlotte or Denver who use 2 types of headbands, I chose the one that is used most often!

Other thing, PM requests??! Come on.. Where would I be if I took everyones roster and change your desired stuff?! I have a private life too, you know? Besides, everything can be changed in Reditor.. So collect 10 bucks and buy a license, like I did! I'm a student too, but I did it..

And I don't want 'comments that only praise my work'.. And this is not about comments.. It's about being stuborn and not recognizing some differences..
I was always appreciative about comments such as 'there's crash after 2 seasons', 'this player has wrong number', etc.. I always welcome suggestions and tried to fix errors.. I also accepted when someone says that Griffin and Love should have better ratings.. But it's because they deserved it based on their performances..

I always update ratings.. I even updated Gerald Hendersen because he emerged lately.. But D.Rose is fine as he is. If you ever started association with my roster, you would see that Rose's ratings goes at least to 90 by 2nd season.. Now I can put it at 99 immediately, but whats the point then??
