Updated Roster for 1996-1997 Mod

This is an updated roster file for the 1996-1997 season mod. No changes were made to the players CFs nor their portraits, only bio, status, skills, tendencies and contracts have been touched, so you can load this right inside your 1996-1997 mod available for download here at NLSC!

Fake FA were deleted, added quite a few missing players and most importantly EVERY player in this file has been edited to get realistic results in the game, so no more awkward things like C playing like G and viceversa plus now they will all go on/off screen and miss shots inside & dunks. Real shooting skills based on a special formula following real stats on basketball-reference.com Potential was reduced to minimum because players get upgrades anyhow thanks to a bug 2K kept over the years... Also clutch should be OFF as every player has 50 for off/def clutch by default. Star players with high shooting tendency will make their shots in clutch situations anyway.

In order to avoid unwanted bugs I chose to activate CHA Bobcats (since they were playing in both D-League & NBA anyway although they appeared hidden in the original file of this retro mod) and I've added to their roster real players who missed the 96-97 season.

The 1997 Draft Class will come soon...because I am into my multiple season retro association mode (with realistic trades!) which I started with the 1994 season - and now I am 2 months into the 96-97 season.

I found the itch to play 2k11 and ran up on your updated roster Levy but for some reason i have a lot of cybers missing. I load up the original roster and the cybers are there. The same for your updated 13-14 roster but its not as bad, as far as of now i found miles plumblee of the nets and omer asik of the rockets on the current season that cybers are not showing up but i load the original roster and they show up. im missing quite a few on the 97 roster but i found only a couple on the current season tho there could be more, i havent played that many games yet, iF you played games with your updated rosters im guessing your not having this problem. I have no missing cybers when i load up the original rosters, so im thinking maybe the cyber ids were not assigned to the roster that i have.

There shouldn't be CFs ID conflicts within the 96-97 updated roster if you installed the 96-97 mod properly. I admit there might be some CFs missing in case of new created players who were missing from the 96-97 mod. Because I am using a different roster pack in my game (association) and I started with the 94-95 mod (but I add art patches from mods while my dynasty progresses trough the years) there's no way I can test if your CFs match the 96-97 mod. I'd suggest check CFs IDs with REDitor and replace the missing files by yourself.

As for the 13-14 roster, I think it is obvious: that is a big collection of patches as you can see if you read and re-read the thread for that particular mod. We ALL have the same issues with some of the CFs (still missing) but if you installed the patches following the exact order that is mentioned in that thread and you did it after a clean (re)install of the game you shouldn't have problems. Of course if you combine patches from different mods in the same installation folder there are 1000% chances to get your files messed up and most of the CFs never show up in your game. I hope this helped you figuring out where you went wrong.

i dont know what the problem is on the 97 mod but it cant be a conflict of other mods because i use mod enabler unless its a big mod like ubr. it makes no sense because as i stated if i load the original roster from the 97 mod all the cyberfaces are there but when i load yours a lot are missing. The free license of reditor no longer works so i cant apply the cybers to the players, if the same base was used from the original roster in the 97 patch it should be ok, theres no way possible that they show up in 1 roster and not the other,I wish the free reditor still worked so i guess i will just have to live with the original. Thanks but if you get a chance could you redownload the roster from this site because it could be a mix up from the one uploaded and the one your using.

I've tried the original file from the 97 mod and it looks fine with my installed game so I don't know... All I can think of now is you should get the REDitor with a licence ASAP, it's the price of a burger in US and it doesn't contain any fat - and use it to make the changes to the roster file according to your needs.
