X's T'wolves (NBA 2K11)

A collection of memorable stories from NBA 2K's franchise and career modes.

Damn 2k online. I got quite a few pretty good pics from Pressbook from my recent Grizzlies game. Can't upload them since I kept getting booted out of 2k servers. Guess no pics & content update until they sort their shit out. In the meantime, I'll continue to play games.

Got killed by Rudy Gay (44pts :applaud: ) but my team, with exception of my shitty point guards, showed some heart. Loving my wings, Martell Webster, Wesley Johnson & Corey Brewer combined for 64 points. Martell & Wes got hot at different times.

Lamrock, I played with real FG% & real FT% for a good 2 minutes. Couldn't hack it sorry, just didn't feel real to me if that makes sense  I guess I want to have control of shot timing. I'll just have to learn the guys. I even put up 98 points in my game against Grizz & shot better than 40% for first time this season

For all you Euro boys, Darko is starting. The previous injuries to Webster & Johnson opened up opportunities for Brewer & Darko to get starts. They've both been solid & whilst I'm not going to get much out of them offensively (Brewer is good in open court though), they give my team some balls on defense. Brewer can guard anybody on the perimeter. Don't you love how 2k11 makes players with long arms (e.g. Pippen, Brewer) weapons defensively. They've gotten have wingspan in there or maybe I'm just imagining it. So Beas Knees has moved into a 6th man role & Wesley Johnson is playing as a 7th man. He is a rook after all so a little less pressure on him to start with.

My point guards are shite though. I even gave Telfair a bit of burn since Flynn & Ridnour combined for 5 points on 11 shots :shake:

Starting to learn controls a little better though. Did my first Euro step move with Corey Brewer. Was sweet.

Anyways, rant over. Come on 2k, sort your servers out.

Either way, loving how the game (even on Sim Pro) makes you work for the full 48 minutes. You slack off for a few possessions & it's really hard to get them back. Good job 2k, just fix your bloody servers :applaud:

EDIT: 2k servers working again, so might get a mini update tomorrow night if I get a chance after work. If not, enjoy one of the other dynasties or Associations around the place (Y)

Expect that about the 2K servers. There will be a time when you will lose an entire upload.

Me and Kobe beat The X and Larry Bird earlier today. Pity X and his Celtics choked against the mad awesome Lakers. Couldn't get a good look against my dominant defence (Bynum - Gasol - Artest - Bryant - Odom). :)

Argh, you got pretty much owned. Is it the team or just the fact that you are not yet "into the game". When I had my Cats Dynasty I really had problems playing 2k10 which definitely showed up in my results.
No real go-to-guy to be seen in there yet, but Love already with 3 double-doubles (I also considered the Grizzlies game) is very nice.

The "men don't wear pink" reminds me of this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB3MvD6uLR8 "You know what they're sayin about men wearing pink, right?" :D epic

You can always just save a few replays from the gametracker, take them into the Reel Maker, and upload some screenshots that way. Trust me, it's not as much work as it sounds.

Note to all, please keep Thierry spam out of this thread. We all know of Thierry's past failures. I would prefer if this thread & others on this forum are not hijacked with Thierry hate. I don't mind if it's on topic spam, just not Thierry spam.

No need for anybody to reply to this post, just continue on with business as usual.

How does one go about doing this? Ive only just found how to set all the 2kshare stuff up.

Oh and X, was wanting to ask you, whats with all the boxscore hate of late? I personally like to be able to check players stats etc, its a good way to follow certain players in Dynasties, especially when im short on time.

No hate, don't take my comments too seriously as they were made in jest to Lamrock. I do often check other team's boxscores in my Association & always check my own, I just mean I wouldn't want to spend the time posting in-depth boxscores in here like others do. I'll still continue to post all my ones up to 2k blog though. It was more just a light-hearted jibe at the notion that you should post boxscores to have a successful dynasty/Association. But to each his own.

Back (somewhat) on topic: While the pressbook is great, it sucks when you didn't take any pics of the game, and when you go to upload it, the 2K servers are down. (N)

Yep, that happened to me too. However, I just randomly tried to connect & upload them over the space over an hour (trying once every 15 minutes) & only tried to upload 3 pics. Managed to get them uploaded on my last attempt before bed.

But yes, does suck. Should hopefully be better once online calms down in about a month once the bigger gaming titles come out.

Anytime I can't upload, I'll just not have pics for a couple of days. No biggie for me, but I'd agree is for a lot of Associations.

Rudy Gay soars for another dunk on his way to a career night, 44 points, in a win over the T'wolves. For those fans of well-rounded players, Gay certainly delivered for you, as he also added 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal

True. Although I did shoot 46% from field, scored 98 points & was within 3 points for much of 4th but every time I closed the gap to 3, they'd score a couple of baskets & push it back out. Did manage to come back from 14 down back to 3, thanks to Wesley Johnson going on an 8-0 run at the start of the 4th. Rook stepped up. Shame I got shitty point guards (N)

Re: X's T'wolves Association (NBA 2K11) - DONNIE LOVE

Image DON'T WORRY, WE'RE KAHN-TASTIC

A recent extract from GM David Kahn's personal blog:

A little bit of a slow start to the season as the new guys use to Kurt's triangle, but hey, that's alright, it's not today or even tomorrow. We're putting out a quality product that the fans will enjoy seeing. Just check out Darko, boy has he been a revelation. I expect my phone to be running hot with teams looking to snap him up after his stellar play of late. I actually see a lot of Bill Russell in his game. So not only is he one of the best passing big man I've seen, Vlade (Divac) will attest to that, but I think there's shades of Bill Russell in him. I'm not saying he's Bill Russell and would never say that, as they are two different players, but yes, if you see enough of him and you will this season, you will see what I'm saying. He really is a presence at the defensive end and on the defensive backboards. It's not often you get a young man with a package of size and skills and defensive ability like Donnie. I'm going to call him Donnie from now on, as in Donnie Darko, with him being such an enigma and all. Until next time, DK.

That's it. I'm now convinced that David Kahn is really out of his damn mind.

Seen the vid. Manna from heaven? Seriously?
Darko "Manna From Heaven" Milicic. Seems a bit long.

The Wolves are sucking so much early in the season that it's appropriate if they change their jersey colors to pink. When do we expect for you to trade for Sean Marks and make him an assistant coach?

 Funny thing is my team could actually use Marks  The way Jonny Flynn has been playing, wouldn't surprise me if he wore 2k red (pink) pyjamas to bed.

Question, can you turn players into assistant coaches in 2k11? I don't think you can, but would be sweet if you could as I would definitely put him on as an assistant once his playing days were over.

Can't be done really. Just make believe in the story.
There were players who acted as nonofficial assistant coaches while they were still listed as a player in an NBA roster.
Avery Johnson comes to mind when he played for Dallas. Brian Shaw with the Lakers also iirc.

True, true. Could always have him on bench. I wonder if IR players show up in suits. I might check next time I'm playing. Either way, roster is full at moment so no plans on adding Marks, but moving forward I would never say never :P
