You've all seen his great play of late. Not everybody in the NBA has the foresight that I have exhibited in my time as the Timberwolves' GM. It will happen.

Loving the updates. Can't wait for more. Back at work next Monday?

Yep, back on Monday. Probably get Selection Sunday up, don't know when Tournament will be up though. As you know, stuff takes time.

Nice Kahn, maybe there is a way for you to send the Darko challenge to Kahn or even Darko, he might get the allstar nod if he made all the challenges.

Looks like Kahn would take Darko over Dwight by the looks of things. He already said Darko's the same as C-Webb.

But didn't everyone know that Darko is the best centre in the NBA? Dwight who?

You're all being a bit harsh on Kahn :D

There ain't too many legit centres left in West who are healthy & good.

Darko is one of the better centres. In fact, you know I always think he is underrated in the NBA :)

Almost got the NCAA Brackets set. You know what, I'm taking them way too seriously, the seedings & making sure that same conference teams don't meet early in Tournament.

And to any NCAA lovers, I'll be having a real life NCAA March Madness Bracket picking thing like I do every year. Beware though, my wife has finished top the last three or four years :o

As Sit said, nope, she doesn't play any computer games.

I was referring to real life Bracket Pick 'Em on Yahoo. Sit has fallen victim to my wife's uncanny picking ability in March a couple of times now :P

Highly unlikely to see whole tournament. With next season, might be easier for me to actually run a parallel sim CH2k8 Legacy & just edit the players from 2k11 draft class into respective teams (obviously not exact ratings, just close match), so I don't have to create my own brackets & all that :P

She appreciates my passion, just not my hobby  Would prefer if I didn't play games at all. Ahh well, could be worse. Could be a drunk, a gambler, a womaniser. That's what I tell her if she whinges :P

13 March 2011

SELECTION SUNDAY - NORTH CAROLINA EARNS TOP OVERALL SEED

As expected, North Carolina captured the top overall seed in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. The other number one seeds (in order) are Vanderbilt, Villanova and UCLA. Although they did not win their conference tournament like the other three number one seeds, the Bruins did enough during the regular season and conference tournament to earn the fourth and final number one seed.

Last four in were BYU, Nebraska, Penn State and UTEP.

Check out the full bracket below:

ATTENTION ALL!!!

Thought the hot pink might get your attention.

First thing, if bracket jpg is too big for your browser, simply right click & view image.

I know I'm anti-prediction games usually, but since I more or less created them in my Live '05 Bobcats Dynasty, I don't mind them provided they aren't just for post/view gouging (that's why all votes must be PM only). And NCAA Bracket pick 'ems are always an exception, because they are fun :P

The prize for winning, if you want a place in the 2012 Draft alongside hova (who designed the beautiful Darko Challenges sig), then one of the three available spots is up for grabs. If you don't feel like playing but would like a spot in the class, then just design me the coolest sig for my Association. Note that it has to be unique and quirky like my Associations can be. Doesn't have to be budget though like the usual ones that get offered up to me

Back to the pick em, the person who gets the most results correct wins. Doing it by PM will prevent any unruly conduct of changing predictions after cut-off times. Rather than make you fill out the whole bracket now, we'll go round by round so everybody's brackets aren't busted by the second round (plus I don't know how College Hoops 2k8's sim engine will go. It's good but there will be some upsets). From you guys who are interested, I just need your picks in a rather timely for each round, so probably within a day or two of me posting the previous recap. Will probably take me a few days to get College Hoops 2k8 rosters and stuff set up so there is time to get your predictions in before the first recap. And as another reminder, please send ALL of your predictions by PM only. I will delete any post that has predictions in them, so you have been warned. No need to spam up thread with predictions when Sit, Lamrock & myself are more than capable of doing that ourselves.

For any people already in the current draft class, you can still enter either or both of these (Tourney pick 'em & sig making) & potentially add 5 rating points to three different attribute or tendency (will help with sim stats) categories (have to be three different ones, can't be all put on the one) to help your alter ego out.

If you don't want to participate, all good, hopefully you enjoy the NCAA coverage nonetheless.

I'll enjoy it, but since I'm not a close follower of NCAA I'll pass on participating

As for the bracket, I actually think it's too small, seems everything is tightly mashed up, but maybe that's just me.

That's cool. You don't have to be that close a follower to be effective. The college rosters I'm using are a few years old but with some edits to add some of the prospects & to strengthen/weaken some of teams to align more closely to seedings.

This exercise is essentially adding a bit more back story for draft prospects. Hopefully the edits I'm doing in College Hoops 2k8 don't take too long & hopefully it's worthwhile

As for brackets being too small, I have no problems reading it, maybe it's a resolution thing that people are running. I just used a Excel template that was online and edited it. The problem with such a huge tournament is it can seem cramped when on one A4 piece of paper.

Things aren't looking too good for 10 seeded Saint Marys as we draw Georgetown in the first game. :( Dunno how sim engine will treat that!

Anyways, its a little cramped but I can still sorta read it!

I hope that not too many edits in college game need to be done... maybe make all the NLSCers and a few of the bigger name prospects.
