I love how the season is rolling again. I'm still following this one as you don't use that many pics and I can't load them with my shitty Inet right now. Sac-town is going for the repeat for sure.

I doubt willanewhaira can help you but we'll see.

I think Villanueva will help. This is 2k9, he would've been coming off solid play with Bucks back then I think. As a backup combo forward, he's a helluva lot better than Mingiya or whatever that chumps name is. If you can, make it happen. Throw in a 2nd Round pick if you have to. Better yet, trade for Must. I think your team lacks enough big egos. Imagine Durantula, Tyson & Must playing together  David Lee & two 1st Rounders & a cap filler for Must. Make it happen.

Seattle Not Playing Like A Playoff Team

Image

NOVEMBER 14, SEATTLE – The Seattle Stealth opened the season with an encouraging win against the Philadelphia 76ers but since then, they have not looked very impressive. The team lie at 3-6 after a 139-115 drubbing at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. This was Seattle’s third straight loss and George Karl and crew are hoping to stop their slide in their next game against the Toronto Raptors.

Leo Chase was outstanding for the Pacers with 27 points and 19 rebounds. Ricky Rubio also had a double double with 18 points and 13 assists. Coach Karl has pointed to a lack of effort on the defensive end from his team as blame for their slump. The Stealth again looked woeful as they were on the wrong side of a 52-27 rebounding edge. Kevin Durant also continues to play poorly as he had another subpar night with just 18 points.

Durant has blamed his poor form for Karl trying to integrate a more balanced system and encouraging other players to shoot the rock. “I should be getting more shots,” Durant complained after the game before quickly leaving.

Hornets Host Mavs In Fiery Matchup

NOVEMBER 24, NEW ORLEANSChris Paul said that it would be an intense matchup between two aspiring Western Conference teams. The All-Star finished with 26 points, 10 assists and 3 steals and Mark Moore added 26 points and 7 assists to help the Hornets walk away with a 105-94 win.

One of the players not involved in the Mavs-Hornets first round series of the last postseason, Andrew Watson, made sure he would introduce himself to the rivalry as he played great with 25 points including 5 three point shots, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Jerryd Bayless finished with 17 points, 5 steals as his backup Aaron Brooks scored 10 from off the bench. Dirk Nowitzki, playing injured with plantar fasciitis, scored just 6 points.

Bucks Pull Off A Coup

Image Image

NOVEMBER 25, MILWAUKEE – The Detroit Pistons have agreed to a deal to traded veteran shooting guard Rip Hamilton to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Charlie Villanueva, John Salmons and a future first round draft selection.

The 3-10 Pistons granted Hamilton’s wish of being moved to a better team after the 10-7 Bucks enquired on his availability after trade talks with the Phoenix Suns over Baron Davis cooled down weeks ago. The Pistons were happy to come away with two expiring contracts and a first round pick. Villanueva is averaging 12 points and 5 rebounds from off the bench this season. Salmons is averaging 5 points a game.

The other positive coming out of this deal is the opportunity the team now gets to start rookie Sam Slater at Hamilton’s old spot. The rookie has not shown an ability to play the point guard spot in the NBA and the Pistons are intrigued to see how he will do as the off-guard in their system.

The Bucks’ Jay Gray is excited about Hamilton’s addition to the team. Milwaukee has been in desperate need of a starting shooting guard and Hamilton gives them a solid scoring option at the 2. “This is great news,” Gray told reporters after a team training session, “Rip Hamilton is an NBA champion. He is one of the fittest players in the league and I believe that he can help us make it to the next level.” The Bucks shored up their frontcourt by also signing Brendan Haywood for the league minimum.

Hamilton is averaging 17 points, 3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season. He hasn’t been shooting well for the Pistons, converting at just .437 from the field. He is a career 18.1 ppg scorer at a clip of .464 from the field.

Ah, I'd feel like I'm cheating by trading for Martti. He's having another MVP-esque season with the Suns... funny thing is, he is probably going to have a Charles-like career. Great numbers, bouncing from team to team, improving them... but no rings. :P

Looks like you won't be getting Villanueva. Don't forget 45 day rule where you can't trade a player you've just traded for within 45 days

Love the blurbs, makes it much easier for me to follow your story. I'm not so much into the off the court drama as I am to what is going on around the league. (Y)

Also good to see my guy play well, as it was good to see Mr Moore play well. The battle of the Kiwis (Y)

I won't be getting Charlie. :)

And good to see you are enjoying it. I'm trying to get a little league-wide coverage in so that everyone can enjoy a little bit more and get a feel for what's going on.

You and Mark have a Kiwi matchup on Thanksgiving in a few days. :) But shame that the Mavs struggle without Dirk.

L-Train: I am welcoming some kind of welcoming Rip blog update from you if possible.

3-6 isn't a good start, but then again you start every season poorly. Once season is done, you'll have at least 50 wins, a top 4 seed & it doesn't really matter what happens in the regular season if you can't get by Kings & win title.

Just like IRL in regards to Dirk. Can't win without him. Hopefully Mavs can get one back on Thanksgiving Day. Is it in Dallas or New Orleans? Need to know who's hosting the other for Thanksgiving Dinner after all :P

Ah well, take one game at a time. You gotta get back at the Hornets for beating you in New Orleans. ;P

Dirk is only at 50% though as he will be injured for a month.

ESPN-UK
Manchester, England
Mark Jamison

There has been a report concerning a drug bust in Seattle, Washington involving a Major league soccer team. Sources tell me it involves players from around the globe and in various other sports with certain players from Manchester United being involved. Incidentally FIFA is saying they tipped of United States FBI after several MU players tested positive for a controlled substance, which is not canibis. Police are not saying what the controlled substance is, however my sources tell me their sources are telling them it is meth. The police are saying however the did find a banned substance in a local residence during a raid. they also found the items necessary to create the banned substance. They are also releasing the information that 12 people were arrested.

According to my sources some of the non MU players involved range from rugby players to polo players with a shocking name from the NBA over in the States. Sources are also telling me that this NBA player could be a ring leader. I did some quick research and found that this player has loose ties to the Benny Hinn scandal that rocked the world a few years back.

No matter what the outcome is, you can expect some earth shattering news soon, possibly because of the news that just came from Hong Kong....
