Haha, Durants comments on Ricky were hilarious, plus the dunk and the picture look hawt. Hopefully you'll bounce back in game 2.

Thanks man. Haven't seen you post in a while!

We only got Word 2003 at work... so can't open the word file >.<''

Therefore, game 2 will be posted in 9 hours time!

Yeah so I'm back, after being absent due to getting accustomed to the newfound high school life. It's nice to see that ALIB2 is still going strong. I've tried to catch myself up as best as I can. I've read all of the chapters I've missed since my leave, and I'm really impressed with how the story has unfolded. Ty is going through a lot of shit, and Durant's still a cocky motherfucker, haha. I love the addition of Sheed. He brings a lot of energy on the court, and a lot of humor off the court. I might require a short heads-up of any other significant events that have occurred, since I pretty much just read the chapters. Anyways, it's great to see that the Stealth have made the playoffs. Here's my predictions if I'm not too late.

Miami in 4
Cleveland in 6
Detroit in 7
Boston in 6

Portland in 5
LA Lakers in 6
Denver in 6
Seattle in 7

You're doing great Sit, keep it up! ;)

Nice to see you back.

Have you checked on how your rookie is going? :P

EDIT: All the significant things have been in the chapters. You're pretty much up to speed! (Y)
EDIT2: What did you think of Ready?

Re: A Legend Is Born II - Game 1 Seattle v Clippers

Mon Dec 21, 2009 12:16 pm

Oy! I forgot about my good ol' buddy James Carter. Yeah, I was reading a few pages back and found his little Rookie Focus bit. I'm actually really surprised that he's managed to keep his starting role with the Lakers, and that he's averaging 12, 4 and 4. But more importantly, I'm surprised playing with Kobe has actually made him more humble... hehe. And speaking of rookies, that Jay Gray is certainly a beast! First Chara, now Gray. Is their going to be a superstar rookie in every draft class? Lol.

As for "Ready", I haven't listened to the entire album yet, but so far it's much better than I expected! I'm not quite sure if it's as good as "Trey Day" though. But it's really good so far. HOWEVA, the best R&B album... actually, album in general of the year for me is "Graffiti". Chris Brown comes back harder than ever. Honestly speaking, it's probably his greatest album ever. It's just too bad it won't get the amount of success it should because of the whole Rihanna incident.

Having a superstar rookie in every class would be overkill... so it won't happen. Gray was never supposed to be this good right off the bat... Yes, James Carter is a lot more humble now. I guess he doesn't want to be traded. :P And he's finally maturing on and off the court. (Y)

I have got to say that vocally, Ready is soo much better than Trey Day. But in terms of the composition of the album, it is lacking. They should not have put Successful and LOL on the album... replaced them with Brand New. Jupiter Love needs to be taken off too. Then it would have been a killer album. (Y)

As for C Breezy, I got his album when it came out. Not too impressed. His dance songs/up tempo tracks are great. A few songs I felt were shit... I Can Transform Ya is overplayed and overrated... so I would give him a 3.5 out of 5. I like to listen to Graffiti but I tend to press skip a lot. As for Ready (4/5), I press skip on a few songs. Exclusive was really good, and re-listenable. I would give that 4.5/5. It was that good... I still listen to that one a lot these days. One of my favourite records of all time has to be Confessions from Usher... 5/5 for me (Y)

The only RnB album this I don't skip many songs is Mario's DNA (4/5). It was surprisingly a good listen. Maybe because it's shorter but also because it's a decent record. Break Up is shit but the rest of the album ain't bad at all! For me, my favoruite albums (RnB) have been in this order: Trey, Mario, Brown... however, Trey's Anticipation (kudos to u reminding me to get it at the time) is hotter than all three of them :P

Re: A Legend Is Born II - 6 Hours till Game 2!

Good to hear on JC23! Have you ever thought of having a little mini-story with all of the NLSC rookies/players? That might make a fun Christmas present for all of us readers. :P But naw, you're doing great with this. =)

Back to our music dicussion, lol. I agree that Successful and LOL should have definitely been left off "Ready". But yeah, the album is sounding really good so far... I'm going to listen to the rest of it now.

On to C-Breezy, REALLY?!?! Lol, I was so impressed with the album! There's only three songs that I didn't add to my MP3 from it, and would normally skip. But nevertheless, the entire album is still a great listen for me (4.5/5). I also think "Exclusive" (4/5) was great as well. To be honest, at first, I didn't think "Graffiti" would be better than "Exclusive". But it has really surprised me since its release. It's great! :D Though I agree, there's absolutely no album that comes within breathing range of "Confessions" (5/5)

I haven't listened to much Mario lately, since I've mostly been listening to Chris, Usher and Trey recently. But I'll definitely give it a listen! Speaking of Usher, there's so many songs that are being leaked that could be on "Raymond vs. Raymond". And most of them are pretty good. "Hey Daddy" featuring Plies, "More" and "Rockband" are my favourites. You should give them a listen, if you haven't already. I've got high expectations for "Raymond vs. Raymond"

Another guy who's been on my radar is Jason DeRulo. "Whatcha Say" was the smash hit I knew it would be, and "In My Head" has the potntial to be a great second single. But what's really gotten me into Jason is this song called "Ridin' Solo" which is probably my favourite song at the moment. :)

Whoa! I've written too much. Time to shut up, haha.

Mon Dec 21, 2009 1:25 pm

I don't think I am clever enough to put a mini story together for the NLSCers

Yeah, Exclusive >>> Graffiti.

Usher's last album was really shit. I've heard a few leaked tracks. (Y)

And yeah, go get DNA. It's not bad.

Durant Notches Triple Double In Win

Preview | Box Score | Recap

Kevin Durant converts the tough shot in traffic

19 Apr, 2011

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Kevin Durant finished with a triple double of 35 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and hit 9 straight free throws to keep the LA Clippers out of reach from winning Game 2. The Stealth were in high spirits before boarding the team bus to make their way to take their flight back to Seattle.

After the game, Durant joked about his near-perfect night, “I just wasn’t good enough tonight. We came away with the win and I got a triple double but I missed one free throw. Coach is going to make me run laps tomorrow!” Durant hit all but one free throw during the game against the Clippers but did everything else just about right.

The Stealth led from start to finish. A 16-4 run in the second quarter helped the Stealth build a considerable lead. They led by a margin of 16, midway through the third period. The home side did not give up as they continued with their accurate three point shooting to keep the game tight.

The Clippers found themselves in striking distance of their opponents three times during the fourth quarter. All three times, the Clippers had dropped the margin to single digits; on the third and final occasion was when they managed to cut the Stealth lead to just 2 points.

That was with 2 minutes left and that was when Durant took over. Durant had been shooting poorly for much of the final period and took it upon himself to draw fouls and get to the free throw line. Although he was called for a charge on his first foray to the hoop, the NBA leading scorer was not fazed and went to the line five times during the final two minutes of the match. Durant sank 9 shots to keep Seattle ahead and the Clippers could only keep it close as Eric Gordon and Ricky Davis each hit triples to keep the score close.

“It was a hopeless cause once Durant took over,” Gordon conceded, “We need to make sure we get in his face in the next game. He was all over the place in this one.” Gordon, who hit the game winner in Game 1, struggled this game with his shooting stroke. He only managed to finish with 16 points on 5 for 16 shooting. Davis led the team for the second consecutive game, with 17 from off the bench as Al Thornton also managed 16.

Durant didn’t need too much help but got it from Rasheed Wallace who had 16 from off the bench and 13 apiece from Raja Bell and Trevor Ariza.

“I wasn’t going to let my team lose this one,” Durant stated. The star was also aware of the fact that he needed just one assist and one rebound to complete his triple double as he had 24 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists at the end of the third quarter. Durant’s 10th assist came in the opening minutes of the final period but he only grabbed his 10th rebound of the game with a minute left in the game. After his 10th rebound, Durant was fouled by Amare Stoudemire.

On his way to take the inbound pass, Stoudemire was called for a technical foul as he elbowed Durant. Durant was sent to the line where he missed his first free throw of the night, much to the delight of the crowd. He hit the second and later hit another pair to seal the win. When later questioned about the crowd reaction, Durant state, “Tell them to look at the scoreboard.” Stoudemire later criticized the referees in the game, “They’re protecting him every time he has the ball. It’s not fair, he gets all the calls!”

The series now shifts to Seattle where George Karl is confident his team will defend their home court and come back to LA with a 3-1 lead. “I don’t want to jinx it but I am pretty confident that my guys will win our home games,” Karl proclaimed, “We’re going to go back home now and prepare for Game 3.” Durant also talked about his team’s chances at home, “The home record speaks for itself. We are the best at home. We’re going to come back here in Game 5 to finish the series in LA.”

Notes: Durant’s triple double is the first postseason triple double by a Stealth player… Trevor Ariza wowed the STAPLES Centre crowd with a handful of dunks… Despite starting the season 4-14, the Stealth were able to finish the regular season with the League’s best home team record… Jason Kidd scored just 2 points and updated a reporter on the status of his injury, “It’s feeling a lot better but I’m still a few days away from feeling 100%”…

Fantastic win. Durant really stepped up, and Amare has been a non-factor. Ricky Davis is averaging 23.5 PPG against you though. :P Interesting that you have the best home record, considering you're only 46-36. Your road record must be brutal.

Yeah, big win. It's funny to see how much of a one man show the Stealth are. Still, the role players bring the numbers you'd expect to win the game. I don't like Stoudemire's role on the Clippers. I mean his defense and rebounding looks good but only 9 shots while Ricky Davis and Eric Gordon throw up shot after shot ... they don't deserve to win the series.
They won't win it anyway with two games in Seattle now. You're having one foot in the Semi Finals!

Yeah, we only had like 10-11 losses all season at home. :)

Davis' ppg is inflated due to game 1... but he's no slouch I guess. Just not as good as he was in Game 1. But everyone has a blinder once in a while!

Durant is the man. Aren't you a fan???

Yeah, Amare's Clippers are a three point shooting team. They don't pass him the rock

Yes, yes indeed. Actually, just shows how efficient I am compared to the others. They give me a whole day to write a letter or a brief. I usually finish in 30 minutes so I chill for like 15 before I get it proofread and corrected and off I do again

As for updates, I was going to do game by game but I think I am gonna opt with the mass recap at the end. However, if you all object, I might just do game by game... it doesn't really faze me.

It's not gonna happen. Durant hogs it.

I liked the previous playoff series where you did quick half paragraph recaps for each series in between Stealth games. I thought it added more suspense but I really don't mind either way, was just wondering.

So apparently Ricky Davis took a time machine back to 2003 and is crapping on people again. Your team has caught some serious Toronto Raptor-itis (letting terrible/washed up players dismantle opposing defenders).

Don't dis Ricky. He keeps throwing up shot after shot and just sinking them... the rim is like an ocean!!! He's just in the zone. Will cool down soon though, I hope...
