Kidd Sets NBA Playoff Record in Mavs Victory
May 10th, 2012
It was a double victory for Jason Kidd and his Dallas Mavericks
earlier this evening, as the Mavs defeated the three time defending
champion Los Angeles Lakers, 127-101, to take a commanding 3-1 series
lead in the Western Conference Second Round Series.
Aside from Dirk Nowitzki's dominating 40 poing performance, the Mavericks'
other future hall of famer Jason Kidd put on a show; as he broke the NBA's
single game playoff assist record, dishing out a staggering 27 dimes in
the victory.
"It means a lot of my teammates put the ball in the basket" Kidd said
"Most importantly we got the win"
The previous record of 24 assists was held by both Magic Johnson (May 15th 1984),
and John Stockton (May 17th 1988).

But I would have ranked Stockton near those two.
