Help with patching/mods for the PC version

Hi I am new to the whole pc scene of the 2k series. I was wondering could someone guide me in the right direction, or suggest what mods/patches I should use. Other questions I have are

I have the latest roster update, will it be incorporated in season and/or associate mode?

The cyberface patches. How to import them, and can they be used in season and/or associate mode?

How to use the shoe patches, meaning how do I assigned them to their retrospective player, and can they be used in season and/or association mode?

Roster updates wont update in an existing association, but yes, you can take the latest roster into association mode along with any CF/shoe patches you've created/installed.
