Talk about NBA 2K11 here.

Hi folks!
I'm planning to by NBA 2K11 as it seems great as a current NBA game. And i'm planning to buy a gaming notebook which has CoreI7 1.73 and Geforce GTX460M graphic chipset. I know GTX460M is a high-end GPU but i wonder whether NBA 2K11 supports GTX460M fully and whether it has any gripes?
Does anybody running NBA 2K11 with GTX460m? Is there any problems?
TIA-.

Running with the desktop version of the 460 (768MB).
smooth like BUTTAH!
no experience with the m version tho...
I think it's a good plan.
P.S. Sadly, it does seem like Tracy McGrady might be denied from time to time....

Hmm, thanks, did you apply any patches to your NBA 2K11 for a pleased_and_ high-performance experience with your GTX460?
PS: I miss him too much, didn't know why was he abandoned of being a legend!

I've got a 310M and I get 50s during gameplay, 20s during arena shots with everything on high. No AA or AF.
460M will be just fine.

Sure I run with plenty of mods and patches.
I guess T-mac had bad luck with injuries and a crappy attitude... somewhat in the mold of Francis and Starbury

my laptop is an ASUS G53JW, it has the exact same cpu and gpu as what you're saying and it runs great on my laptop. only problem is sometimes it crashes somewhat, but it goes back again and brings you to the pause menu, the only problem with that is of course the 1 second delay, and also i can't adjust the brightness setting of my laptop after that happens.

Hi Rapboy,
The one i bought is an Asus G53JW-XA1, too and i'm still waiting for the shipping to be completed.. However i'm concerned that you had crash problem with NBA 2K11? What type of problem is it exactly? Is it related to your notebook hardware/GTX460 drivers, or the version of NBA 2K11? Or does it need a patch to fix it?
And..did you have any such problems with other games such as F1 2010, PES11, Need For Speed etc..?
Hope that's not an Asus-specific problem.
Thanks!

9600M GS isn't the same as a 9600gs desktop card :/
The 310M is like a 9600GS desktop card
The 9600M GS is like a 9400 GT or 7600GT desktop card.
