WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BUY NBA 2K12 - IF YOU LOVE ONLINE - READ!

Just wanted to post a couple of comments here out of frustration! - Anyways', been a huge fan of NBA LIVE and NBA 2K for many years , although back in 2006 i decided to stop buying NBA LIVE series when it stopped making it for the PC. - I then went with the NBA 2K games, I bought 2007 with Shaq on the cover, and was then hooked on it! But the past 3 Years have been so BAD with ONLINE GAMES due to 2K having POOR SERVERS, and ONLINE DISCONNECT ISSUES, due to 2K's inability to FIX there SERVER PROBLEMS. It seems they are too cheap to FIX the problems. 2K SPORTS continually has LIED to its FANS from day 1, telling everyone they were buying NEW ONLINE SERVERS.

I have been a member of the forums here on NLSC for a number of years and occasionally stop in to check on the site, and to see if there are updates from time to time. I have been posting in the 2K forums mostly for a year straight now, but i came here to post because it seems everytime you try and make a comment about NBA 2K games, the ADMINS seem to BAN people for speaking there minds. But the bottom line is, 2K has GONE WAY DOWNHILL since 2K 9 - They posted on the forums last year that they were going to upgrade there ONLINE SERVERS to FIBER OPTIC, which we find out now, never happened. Thats why they still are having so many problems playing games. Not to mention the offline stuff that has been plaging the game for 2-3 years now. - 2K new that many people were fed up with there online service, and knew most people were not going to purchase thiws year's game, thats why they decided to put MICHAEL JORDAN on the COVER, because they knew he would sell miliions, and would disguise the fact online was still crappy from years past. 2K has no more room to go now, they have no mre gimmick to sell there games, they just put the greatest player in the history of basketball in there game. They will probably LIE again to everyone, and ADVERTISE HOW GREAT ONLINE WILL BE in 2K12, which is bullshit!, cause it aint gonna be! DONT BELIEVE THERE LIES!

BOTTOM LINE IS: i have been reading so many posts from hundreds and thousands of people ON 2K'S FORUMS saying they are not buying 2K12 when it comes out, and i am one of them that wont buy anymore games from 2K, until they fix there online problems. Most players cant stay in a game for more than 1-2 quarters without it disconnecting from a NETWORK ERROR. But more than that, because 2K did not get these issues fixed this year in 2K11, just out of principle, i wont be buying the game at least for one more year, another words i am going to skip 2K12 even if they do fix online, just to show how disgusted i am with the way 2K has tread there DIEHARD FANS the past 3 years. Its about time we all stand up and fight them back! -2K SPORTS had along time to fix these issues with online and chose not to. because they dont care! So you tell me why you should buy there games ? - Its been 3 years of the same old thing, year after year... Aren't you guys sick of this ? If your not an online player, then this wouldn't bother you....But if you are.....

I mean why give them $60.00 per game, when it does not work properly ? It makes no sense!. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! - FIGHT BACK! DONT BUY 2K12!

2K has a shitty online system, as you know this isn't news, but in their defense I think i read that 2K11 doubled 2K10's sales, so they may have been prepared to handle 2k10's user base this year but didn't foresee the increased userbase. Honestly, as long as NBA Today and 2Kshare works....I could give 2 shits about the cheesers online, but multiplayer is a big deal to a lot of people now so I can't say you're wrong in your argument.

The only reason 2K sold as many 2K11 games as they did and more from last year, because they had to come up with a GIMMICK that they knew would work! Namely Michael Jordan. If Jordan had not been on the cover this year, you would have seen sales DECLINE. This game mostly appealed to the CASUAL GAMER that doesn't care either way if the game works online or not, all the casual gamer cares about is that Jordan was in the game, so they could play a couple of games with there friends at home. But the die hard fans who had been waiting for 2 years for the game to be great, they held out for one more year to buy 2K11. But since Online sucks even worse than previous years, those very same people VOW not to buy next years game (2K12) because they have HAD ENOUGH!.. And thats the real truth..

Would you say "GET OVER IT" if you purchased a CAR from a Dealership, and when you drove it home, it started having problems, then when you brought it back to the DEALER, they said to you they CANT FIX IT, and how would you like it if they said "GET OVER IT".. I paid for this piece of garbage of a game for 3 years in a row, and same results. 2K's servers are shit and they dont work. As we all know Michael Jordan can sell alot of copies just by him being on the cover and in ther game, but next year 2K wont be so lucky for screwing there online customers and people that expect to play the online portion of the game.

Makes you wonder with all this money in their hands now, if it will be enough to upgrade their servers, get an american tech support team, get rid of the hopstep glitch, fix 7'5/8'5 point guards, make online their main focus, fix connectivity issues, expand on myplayer to make it revolutionary, bring back user steals, allow you to save online settings like EVERY OTHER game in the world, just maybe the sales will make a difference.

Honestly, after making close to $260 million dollars off of a basketball game that you guys claim to be a "small company" compared to Electronic ARTS, YOU GUYs better not drop the ball on this next game. Instead of celebrating how much this game sold this year, everyone over @2k should pat themselves on the shoulders and work relentlessly to hear the customer complaints and get this freakin game fixxed, because as much money as you've guys made off of us in the horrible economy, the east you can do for us in return is hear our gripes, and complaints about this game, and give us what we want. Money in your pockets=a game that we can be satisfied with. It's been 11 years and running, and im sure theres been a whole generation of people like myself who have supported you, the time has come for 2k to step it up and become legendary. this is where you guys solidify yourselves as KINGs, make this next 2k so ridiculous, and give us what we have all been asking for and you'll never have to look back and say we never took care of the ones who supported us from day one.

Regardless, Most die-hard Fans have caught onto how poorly 2K have maintained there ONLINE SERVERS, and each year they promised that it would be better. On 2K's Forums, the admins were even posting and bragging that 2K had upgraded and bought new FIBER OPTIC SERVERS, which we all know now was a LIE! So ask yourself this ?: Do you want to put yourself through the same crap every year by buying a DEFECTIVE UNFINISHED UNTESTED GAME, only to be disapointed when you get the game home, and you cant even play a RANKED ONLINE MATCH ? Or TEAM UP, OR UN-RANKED GAME...Sitting for 30 mins just waiting to connect to another player. I mean Enough is Enough. We gamers have to stick together. Unless 2K sports Fixes there online servers, we should all do ourselves a FAVOR and NOT BUY 2K12, or any other Title they make. This goes for PC GAMERS as well as CONSOLE players, like XBOX, and PLAYSTATION 3. Its a simple as that. And for any of you others that aren't ONLINE PLAYERS, you should'nt be posting your opinions on this. Online Players know whats going on, who cares about MY PLAYER, or ASSOCIATION play. Its all about ONLINE PLAY in the 21st century...No one wants to play the CPU..

Final Thought:

It will be intresting to see what GIMMICK 2K Sports comes up with for 2K12. Now that they put the greatest player of all time in the game in my opinion, there's no where else for 2K go on any new release, exept to really FIX ONLINE. But i doubt that will happen. But we shall see.... stay tuned.....

PS: I think im just going to play NBA2K11 untill the cows come home, another words, get my moneys worth, and try and play seasons against the CPU even though i hate it, because i hate throwing money doen the drain. I will try and make some use of the game. I have the PC version, but it sucks for online play. And PC gamers havent even got a game PATCH for it yet , after 4 months release...
