Building my own PC to meet 2k11 needs

Hey guys, I'm in need of a gaming computer which can provide the best graphics/framerate for 2k11. Used to play Live 06/07 on PC (on med. settings), but that computer is outdated now. I love the customization for PC, and would love to get it on it. I'm not a computer specs expert, so I'd really appreciate some help in finding parts (maybe from newegg?) to build my own PC. I want to spend about $300-$400. Not sure what that can get me, but I'd like to hear some expertise in this field to help me out.
