You should be able to run the game on reasonable settings, though.

8400GS is the problem not the 512mb :) So if you force it on high settings you'll get low framerates..

krayziebone213, Can you do us a favor and run FRAPS and take a screenshot of how many fps you can get with an 8400GS on high settings?

Gino, your specs should be fine, can you do the same thing too? (FRAP screenshot) So we can get an idea how the game runs on different cards

I don't have a 8400GS? And I don't have the game yet lol. I have GeForce 9800 GT, or I'm going to 'cause I'm going to upgrade my ATI 3200. I have a 9600 GS on my ASUS laptop with Intel Duo Core, 4.0 GB of RAM, and DDR3 which ran the Players on high settings, Crowd on medium, and Stadium on High, but this was in 800x600 resolution, plus laptops card sucks compared to desktop, and my laptop overheated which started lagging.

It means power supply, it's what feeds the juice to all the components in your PC.

power supply :) just make sure it has adequate wattage and 12v amperage to run the 9800GT. DId you check if it has a 6-pin PCIe power connector?

What? Lol...yeah that is whats stopping me from it, I assume 400 W is good for it?

You can estimate the required wattage with sites like this one. I'm pretty sure 400W would be enough in your case though.

Right now, you can probably run the game with fairly low settings only, your video card is the obvious bottleneck, so that's really the part that should be upgraded. But of course, that might force you to get a new motherboard, a new PSU, or even a new case depending on what card you choose...

You should be fine at medium settings, but your VGA will probably keep you from having all the bells and whistles (AA, AF, etc.) at high resolutions.

Cool! So I'm glad I still can play the game. I'll just go for medium settings and hope it's smooth. And my PSU don't die on me. :)

If it is a good quality PSU and you have 26A on the 12v rail then you should be good to go :)

Is it really DDR2? otherwise a standard 9600GT GDDR3 would be fine, you may be even able to get away with high settings with toned down AA and AF

I dont have the game yet but based on my experience with 2k9 and 2k10, an e8400, 4gb and GTX260 can run the game smoothly on max settings with high AA and AF
One way to really know is to try it at the highest and just tone down the settings if you get low framerates. Not everyone has the same definition of "smooth gameplay" anyway..for me as long as its a constant 60fps im happy
