Anyway, this means you can play it come October 5th at MIDNIGHT rather than wait until the 10AM opening of Gamestop. I can get a 10 hour advantage for My Player! :D

yes maybe for Xbox and for PS3 but not for PC so for someone like me who only plays on PC i will unfortunately have to wait i will pop a bunch of sleeping pills so the next day will come fast lol

Actually, GameStop is running a similar promotion as Walmart for the PC version. I pre-ordered it, and was told to come in at 12:00 midnight Tuesday to pick it up. Only certain GameStop's are featuring this, so you need to check first.

yeah I checked already they said they didn't have enough pre orders to stay open they told me that they already have the game
its pissing me off lol

That' why I've always bought from online retailers like Amazon, Newegg or Gogamer. Since these retailers 'promise' to deliver the game on the release date, they'll often ship the game days before to ensure you get it on that specific day. I've received Halo Reach and Starcraft 2 days before the official release dates when ordering from them. Checking my order from Amazon, it looks like I'll be receiving the game tomorrow via UPS ground (estimated time between 11am - 2pm PST). Hopefully It'll be sitting on my porch when I get back from work tomorrow. :D

wow tell me if you really get it tomorrow cause if you do i will be ordering from amazon next year (Y)

PISTOL yeah i am not as lucky as you are my man i wish i could get that tomorrow night well tell me how it is (Y)

3GB DDR2
Windows 7 Ultimate
Nvidia Geforce 9800GT 512mb
Asus LCD 19" 1440x900 Monitor

Need your comments guys. Appreciate your help. Thanks

You should be golden, Your system is similar to mine except I'm running a Intel core 2 duo 3.00 GHZ, 4gb DDR2, same video card, and Win XP Pro, HP 21" monitor.

I'm now thinking of getting it on Steam 'cause I can't wait for our local stores here to have it. lol.

My only setback for Steam is the fact that it had the 2K10's patch version 1.1 late for a week or 2.

It seems a bit different this time, because it's not even showing anywhere on Steam. At least last year you could search for the game and you'd get all the relevant information about it (and there was even a countdown for the release I believe), but there's nothing for 2K11 this time, so it's almost as if they won't even offer it, or not right away at least. That'd be shame, I'd rather get it from Steam than getting it from Best Buy or whatever.

@el baldman

NBA 2K10 Steam version was the same as US version, yeah? The one with Sports Ticker, correct courts and everything. correct?

EDIT: And to others who bought the game from Steam last year, were you able to play online well? I know online sucked last year for PC but what I mean is was it working or totally not?

I pre-ordered the PC version from GameStop, got there about 11:30 PM, this huge line started forming outside, come 12:00 they let us in 10 at a time. When I get to the counter to hand them my receipt, they tell me they have to go to the back to grab the PC version. They had loads of PS3 and XBox games in boxes. He comes back and tells me they didn't ship the PC version. I says why didn't you check ahead, really inconvenienced me driving there and waiting. So he says come back later today and he will take another 10% off. What a bummer. Was all set to do a 2K11 marathon until the wee hours this morning. PC gamers get no love.

The issue with Steam is you can't sell the game next year when it's 2K12 time.

Mine arrives on the 8th. I have the PS3 version until then. The PS3 version will then be sold.

Its worth the wait. I was one of three PC pre orders and gamestop had to go to another store and pickup extra copies due to that. I was asked what the benefit of the PC version was from somebody. $35 cheaper, less people clogging the 2k server dedicated to pc, Kobe won't look like an alien for long. All the mods, of course.

They were really dogging Elite in line, too.

Finally received my version yesterday. I was starting to get a little disappointed when I got home from work and didnt see any package by the porch. Decided to go to the gym and vent out my frustrations on some 10lb weights.. :?

Anyways, on my way back, saw the big old brown UPS truck leaving my street. Apparently, I was one of his last stops.

Played some quick games last night and will post some impressions tonight. So far though, the game is living up the the hype!

yes, IMO it is a bit more mouse friendly than 2k9/2k11 console's menus but I still don't like it
