But can you see those hand shadows?

There are no such thing on PC.

They are not still there, all Johndoe mod does is just make everything darker, just as we all can just do in our graphic card control panel. It does pay attention to muscle definition too but shadows on jerseys are not "ALREADY" there.

Uhh, no.

Your talking about the ENB series, not Johndoe's graphical miracle.

This is JohnDoe's mod

All of the shadows you circled are due to Rondo's body leaning forward over his shorts. There are little to no differences between 360 and PC + JohnDoe's mod.

To ShoeBox: Yeah pretty much. You can tell that neither of you have actually loaded the mod and seen it in action. Try that first before you go into denial.

And honestly, if it bothers you that much that there are a few more shadows due to hands on the 360, then go play that.

To Jao: No kidding.

if you guys are seriously going to whine about paying half price for a modable version that has slightly inferior shadows that you can't even tell the difference with if using a mod created here then go out and pay 60 bucks for the "real full version that 2k spends all its time and love for"

seriously the nitpicking this year has reached an all time low in this community...

I hate to say it, but he's right. To me it just looks like he darkened the normal maps to bring out the shading that is there better.

The 360 shot are self shadows. I just watched a video of the 360 demo that I captured and on a cutscene Rondo's arm is casting a shadow, I can see it move in sequence with his arm. It might be ambient occlusion, instead, which could be added via ENBseries, but apparently with a big FPS hit.

I say we request a patch with an option to enable it in the video settings.

I'm not nitpicking just saying, I actually have both version now, and paid both $60 & $30, and I also use John Doe's mod, I just know that their is a difference in the two. I play my PC version more cause I'm in college at school. My 360 version is at home. :|

That is what Ambient Occlusion is.

ENB could add Software AO, which will kill your FPS.

2k would need to work with Nvidia and ATI to create a hardware AO profile.

With JohnDoe, all we know is that he used Hex editing to create his shadows.

Additionally, I can confirm that he did not edit the normal maps, as I replaced them with an edited version with a new texture set, and the shadows still existed.

I've tried that, all 2k is going to do is ignore you then post a review from another site saying "this is the greatest sports game of our generation!" ***shrug***

I'm thinking about going back to Live 04, whose with me.....lol

Well, i asked Ron about it on twitter, we'll see what he replies. And Jao, I have used JohnDoe's mod, it's just not as the 360. And some jerseys looks a bit dark..
EDIT: Looks like patch is comming:
Hey guys,
As many of you that booted up your PS3 this morning discovered, there is a new patch for NBA 2K11. This patch is to help address a couple online stability issues exclusively and does not touch anything else. We wanted to get this out there as soon as we could to see if we could knock them out so this patch was submitted much earlier in the process than usual and greenlit for immediate release (explaining why it's not available for 360 yet).

There will be the normal "kitchen sink" patch that will deal with much of your contributed feedback to Gameplay, My Player, etc. in the usual late November / early December timeline for the 360/PS3/PC. Let me repeat that nothing was changed in the patch that went up today that you will outwardly notice except maybe improvement to overall matchmaking. Do me a favor and keep me posted on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/Ronnie2K) how online is the next few days!

The 360 patch will hit in the coming days. I will try to get a better timeline. Thanks!

Ronnie

No mentions about graphics.

@Ronnie2K i think 2k is only intrested on ps3 and 360 users.
@Ronnie2K i say this, because the ps3 users get a patch and the pc user not, although the online mode for pc is a big problem(graphic)

Ronnie Twitter when asked about online graphics wrote:@trautenberg It's not the same issue for console versus PC. That'll be part of the main patch like I said.

I hope that fixing the online graphics means, official graphic update!!

Yeah, it's me again
I know there is something wrong other than my average pc haha, player body from press box view is so horrible. Gasol's leg is just like a long white triangle, you only know this is leg because this is a shoe under it. Btw, is it possible someone can upload a full court reflection release instead of John's one for noobies like me. >< so unhappy that I am still enjoying my 2k9 more than 2k11

NixazMixaz and DVshoebox, please give shadow mod 4 a try. Its really really really good. Play an entire game and you will see that the PC version may not look like the 360, but it looks better especially from the broadcast camera view

Ok, Im looking at shadow mod 4, jersey occlusions, and all these awesome courts, and you're bitchin about hand shadows THAT DONT PHUCKIN EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is just pathetic, ive never seen so much perceptive stupidity in my life. "oh how come the pc doesn't have the wet nipples coming out of the jerseys during the sweat???"" "ohhh noooooooo im gonna play bulls vs blazers on super nintendo with my gameboy now while eating bon bons with simon cowell from american idol!!!!!!"""

Shadow Mod 4 + Jersey Occlusion + patched courts = PHUCK XBOX 360/
