NBA 2K STUTTER ISSUE

I don't know if it's just me, I occasionally go back and play previous 2K's so I can fuel my nastalgia. I've had this issue ever since I installed my GTX 1080TI; the game constantly stutters on any old 2K - it's quite strange. I don't have any issues with the current gen only 2K14 and below. I've played MLB 2K12 and that stutters. In fact, it's only in the menus I stutter - in game it's perfectly fine. I know this is a weird place to ask but I couldn't find anything on it; curious if anyone has had this issue and possibly a fix.

Are you saying disable internet whenever I start the game?

Control panel > network > right click on your network card and disable

I cant play 2k14 if i dont do that

Or just turn off wifi
