Some new info on Jordan Challenge and Alleyoops (ESPN)

Flu game is handled in "2K11" by decreasing Michael's stamina rating.

Funny to see the evolution of Dennis Rodman as he first appears on the Pistons with no tats and no colored hair. Then you see him on the Bulls and it's a much different story (although still a great player).

Commentary is time-specific, so when you play in the NBA Finals against the Lakers, the announcers will talk about how Los Angeles played against the Blazers earlier in the playoffs.

Alley-oop controls changed to LT+B this year (was LT+A) to help avoid accidental tosses while running with turbo and simply trying to pass.

When you play against the Jazz, get ready for Pick and Roll 101. Stockton and Malone will simply take you to school with this move.

Jordan Challenge controls are just like any game, where you control the entire team, but MJ: Creating a Legend mode is more like My Player where you are locked on Jordan for the entire game. That means when MJ is sent to the bench, you watch the game while riding pine.

Jordan Challenge quarter length is 8 minutes.

Michael's calf sleeve is a new accessory in the game.

Classic teams are all available to play as in Exhibition games right out of the box. You don't need to beat them in Jordan Challenge in order to play as them.

"NBA 2K11" features team specific plays for every team in the game, including the classic squads. The count is up to 800 actual plays that the real NBA teams run, including specific plays for certain stars on each team.

There are NBA-approved hard fouls in the game. No fighting, but players will get dragged down as the defender tries to prevent you from getting your shot off.

The short shorts in the game crack me up. Can't believe that was the style.

I can't remember a character in a sports video game whose likeness has been better captured than MJ in "2K11". From his shoes to his signature animations, if you saw Mike do it in real life, you're going to see him do it in the game, and I'm loving every minute of it so far.

Good stuff.

Jordan Challenge quarter length is 8 minutes.

I've been wondering about that as I've noticed that's been the quarter length in the videos that have come out. I wouldn't mind playing twelve minute quarters but I guess eight minutes is a good compromise for people who don't.

Yea i guess the 8 min adds more to the challenge should be interesting either way :)

I wonder if they added Jordan's calf sleeve just so I would stop pestering them about it on their youtube page.

It was always in the plans as early previews and Tweets mentioned it even when the first screenshots didn't show it.

Sounds great... anyone know if PC users could have a demo?

Jordan Challenge quarter length is 8 minutes.

I'd rather have it to be adjustable.

You know we will be able to not long after it is released.

Cheat Engine will fix the Quarter time, just like it does with 2k10 I would assume

Looks good. Would it be possible to use the classic teams in season or association mode?
