Can't open up .dds in Photoshop CS5

So far I've used the exportRes feature on NBA2K_x MOD to extract the .iff files I need into a .dds file. The problem is that I keep getting errors saying that Photoshop can't recognize the file type. I did a search on the forums here and tried to download the Nvidia dds drivers with no luck. I've also tried a few different .dds drivers for GIMP and still haven't found a way to open the file. Is there something I'm missing or are the drivers not compatible with CS5? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Download the dds plugins from here

then install it. Go to your dds file right click on it and choose open with ps cs 5. If it still cannot open it restart your computer.
