Players' tongue texture/bumpmap/alpha channel...

Does anybody know whether the tongue of the players can be shaded/textured/mapped in any way????

Looks so unrealistic.... as they had swallowed a flashtorch and their tongue is the lightest part of their face....
No shadows, just a pink something in the mouth.....I dont like it.
