could use a little help with blender

Mon Feb 07, 2011 2:49 pm

so I've been doing some modding in blender, and I'm pretty new to the whole thing. Essentially I've been playing around with players hair and stuff. for example, Ive made gerald wallace's rows longer in the back, etc. But I was just wondering how to add hair, for example I want to give Kobe Bryant his mini fro back, but I can't figure out how to copy and paste hair from another player...granted i dont know if thats possible. Also for example, in edit mode when you select the points to make a players hair longer or what not...I was wondering if ur able to add more points and connect them to make it easier, I'm sure you can, just dont know how.. Thanks

unfortunately, its not possible to add or delete data from headshapes since the n2km files need to be the exact same size when they import back into the 3d tool

you gotta edit what is already in the model as far as I know.

or take another CF that has the hair you want, blend the face to make it look like kobe or melo, then import kobe and melo's textures.

okay yeah I got you, blending the face, would be like most of the cyberface tutorials using photoshop right? if I dont have photoshop is there an easy tool to do the trick?

I meant blending the face as in 3d editing in blender.

so lets say you want gerald wallace's corn rows on melo

first copy wallace's png file and overwrite melo's with it

then export the 3d shape into blender

morph wallace's face so it looks like melo (this is the hardest part IMO)

import melo's tats and other textures into the iff file with the new 3d head that has cornrows and melo's face

then use photoshop (or GIMP, the free alternative) to combine wallace's hair and melo's face texture and import that back into the iff file.

when you say, export the 3d head shape to blender, do u just mean turning the iff to cff, then importing it into blender?

yea, i use the mod tool, not the cff studio so sorry for the confusion

ok question, how can I load the face textures onto the head in blender?

Yes, this would be great, I feel like I understand half of how to do stuff, if you make a tutorial that would be great, please talk in it too haha, some of the tutorials with no audio just suck and do not help.

Thanks
