A Question

Wed Jan 12, 2011 3:44 pm

hey guys, im just wondering. i have a generic controller in playing 2k11. it doesn't vibrate so what i did is i googled and found out about xbox 360cemu files. my question is, will it affect the performance or make the game laggy when using this? i haven't tried it yet because im currently re-installing the game.

nope. i was using 360ce with my ps2 controllers, no lags. only in fifa 11 when the controller vibrates

but no lags whatsoever on other games. x360ce is great

What's 360ce? Controller config?

its an xbox 360 controller emulator. it lets the game thinks you're controller is an xbox 360 controller even though its not so that you can have the vibration function.

Why do you want the vibration function?

well. in some instance in the game like in a close game and you're at the line, it adds some pressure imo especially if your ft type is the shot stick. so that's primarily the reason

another question, why is it that some animations in the game like post moves or some dunk animations moves slowly? is that due to the settings? my game speed is 48, player speed is 50 and quickness is 68.

I assume you're new to video games, but: Shit design. Some animations will only ever play at a certain speed.

its my first time in playing nba 2k11 on pc. another question, in the save folder of nba 2k11, what does the files inside the cache folder do? they use a lot of space almost 1gb. are they important or is it safe to delete them?

@vincemeister55

I always delete the files in my NBA 2k11 Cache Folder.

another question; what does "depth of field" means in the video settings?

Re: A Question

Thu Jan 20, 2011 10:54 pm

the blurriness in the background when focused on something

Re: A Question

Thu Jan 20, 2011 11:08 pm

How about the cache file? What's the use of it?

Re: A Question

Thu Jan 20, 2011 11:30 pm

the make the game load faster

Re: A Question

jao, if i set the depth of field setting to off, will i save some performance? my game seems to stutter now, i don't know why.

Re: A Question

Fri Jan 21, 2011 7:47 am

it could, stuttering could be due to a virus scan in the background or something non-game related if it just started randomly

Re: A Question

Tue Jan 25, 2011 12:11 am

hey jao, is it possible to remove those green and blue icons below the players( player 1 & 2 colors) to view the game moare realistic? in the past nba live series, it was possible :D

Re: A Question

Tue Jan 25, 2011 12:16 am

i think so, there are a few textures that need to be blanked out in the gamedata iff files

Re: A Question

Tue Jan 25, 2011 2:10 am

thanks jao. i'll try and find out if can change it.

Re: A Question
