Either while moving or at a stand still, if you hold the left trigger (clutch) and flick the shot stick it will do a shot fake, then if you release the right stick, but move it again before the shot fake ends, you will get a step through or another type of shot.

Basically it is a chained shot fake into a shot and changes depending on sig animations, momentum and positioning. It took me until today to really get it down to a science whereas I've pulled it off randomly before but didn't know how to repeat it.


So do any of you make use of this move?

i'm using these moves everytime , it's so effective against cpu and human !! I guess the most effective one is when you flick toward the basket and then go left or right !!!

I think I have done it on accident before. Mostly in the post. Are these flick flicks available anywhere on the court?

yep, really useful for trying to draw a 3pt foul for a 4pt play

Whenever I tried to flick the shot stick it does not fake, however I did do an up and under move. Is that what supposed to happened?

you can do a fake to shot without flick flicking (i just like saying that), just run in a direction and then shoot if thats what you mean

I found this a good way of drawing fouls with shortish players, I did it with Nate Robinson on Deron Williams and drew the foul, also lovin' the music brings memories back from my PSP lol

Just to clarify, so you don't release the LT button during the entire flick flicking of the RS?

Yes. Hold the LT Clutch/Shot modifier throughout the entire move.

You can also do multiple flick moves if you don't do the second move right away.

I successfully got that move in 2 attempts (I think) in practice mode. So thats the move that you've been talking about? I did it before many times (Accidentally all of the moves. LOL)
If you want your man to get a foul from you. Use these move in paint. 80% they commit a foul, but only depends on your sliders. In my own opinion only.

the best way to know if you have accurately done flick flick in practice mode is if the little shot timing thing pops up

if it does, then you didn't do it properly, you just shot faked into a normal shot, but if you flick flick then that thing doesnt show up

I tried this yesterday in practice and scrimmage, pretty useful but I always get blocked

^Same here. Got blocked twice or thrice.

it's definitely a risk/reward move where the timing of the release doesnt seem to matter as much but it depends on how the CPU plays it. Seems like it could be deadly online though.

How about the "side stepping" layup? I love to do that move every time KD attacking the basket..
