2K10 Jersey textures in 2K11

I'm working on Sonics jerseys (won't release w/o permission) and I'm using textures from 2K10 Seattle jerseys inside shadow modded 2K11 jersey files. I noticed that the jerseys come out kind of shiny compared to a regular 2K11 uni. Here's what I mean.

Does anyone know a way this can be corrected? I'd appreciate some assistance on this.

in 2k11, instead of using a separate texture like 2k10, they used a layer mask on the main jersey textures which causes that effect

to fix it you need to add a layer mask, something that is covered in this tutorial

Hey maybe you can help me then. I want to use the 2k10 jerseys in 2k11 because i actually like the shine on them. How can i do this?

literally, the 2k10 jerseys work fine in 2k11...other than the shine effect

Thats what I thought, but i tried copying the ua and uh flies for the rockets and when i went to select their jerseys in game it crashed. the file sizes are much smaller for 2k10 jerseys too. do they need to be expanded?

you might need to decompress them, i havent tried compressed files

are you running the game on low settings? or medium/high?

I'm running it on high. Also i actually noticed when i put the jerseys in they ended up being about 1 mb larger then all the rest. I'm not sure wats going on, but simply dragging and dropping certainly isn't working. BTW since we're on this kind of subject, is there anyway to transfer the cool chants from 2k10 that are completely absent from 2k11? Like the crowd yelling THREE and AIR BALL?

EDIT: since my game is pretty mod heavy, including jerseys, i'm revalidating everything on steam and will copy again with a vanilla game.

thats too bad, i really miss that in 2k11. hopefully they'll bring all that back in 2k12.

EDIT: well after getting the game back to vanilla i tried to copy and paste again. Still it crashed as soon as it tried to load the jersey files. what else needs to be done other then moving the ua023, ua023 lo, uh023, and uh023 lo files?

i never moved the lo files

i dont understand it, because I used the 2k10 NCAA jersey files in the first version of the 2k11 mod

i dont know, there's just bound to be something else that needs to go in there. I'm using steam also, if that has anything to do with it.
