My Player Skill Points

For those that have started up a My Player...

What position are you and where do you suggest putting skill points?

I'm a 6'1" 3PT Specialist PG. I used all my drills for shooting and I've used some of my points to boost those areas too.
I think I'm at around 65 inside, 65 close, 75 medium, 85 3pt. I've put skill points into vertical, layup, passing, shot in traffic, and shot off dribble as well.

The last area I started putting skill points is Consistency. I was wondering, does this apply to My Player? I thought it might be a waste, but since you can buy some of your points back I figured I'd give it a try. My consistency is still kind of low and I have played only a few games since boosting it so I'm not sure if it's doing anything. Has anyone else put points into consistency or do you know if it works?

it's best to be athletic (have the most speed) and use a majority of your SP for speed. as speed is the most expensive

I just got 2K10 about a month ago, but here's my thoughts.

I play as a PF for Houston Rockets. He is now at 57 Overall in his 1st Playoff Series. I had help with my skill points distribution from this thread. As a PG, you gotta get your Passing over.. well I don't know.. 80? But yea.. Passing first, coz Turnovers kill your Grades & Grades determine How much SPs you get each game & whether you will be kicked/kept on your team. Later on, I'd suggest aiming for Stats that always help at both ends of the court on ball & off-ball regardless of situations and work your way up from there.

I, too, would actually suggest you choose Athletic Playstyle as Speed cost significantly more than any other Stats. That's also why you should be doing Dribbling Drills which give you 1/2 Speed randomly + another extra 400SP. Just make 2 Saves before each Drills just to make sure you get Speed Bonus and not other garbage Stats. Things with Drills is that if you successfully complete a Shooting Drill, you get around 900SP total (1 3PT Shot (500SP) + 400SP); while, if you do a Dribbling Drill, you get 1900 SP total (1 Speed (1500SP) + 400SP).

Consistency does apply in My Player Mode. Consistency.. I thought the detail is pretty accurate :S
It determines the probably of your Player keeping/losing his Shooting Streak. You know like how you sometimes get in The Zone IRL & never miss? As a PF I still havn't touch my Consistency leaving it at 25.. On My Player, you don't get any Grades for making a shot, you only get Grades for "Taking Good Shot" regardless of whether you make it or not.. so.. I don't think its that necessary early on.
The only correct actions are those that demand no explanation and no apology.
