@EASPORTSNBA stated that The game is still pre-alpha & doesn't represent what the final product will look like.

yep, but they still refuse to show it and give us CGI over and over again....... EA has lost all credibility in the sense of using there word, people only want to see gameplay for now on, time to let there gameplay do the talking.. I dont care how much i want to see two basketball games out, CGI trailers arent convincing anyone that they have or can deliver a solid game!

Pastapadre and Steve from OS both got some hands on time with the game, mentioning that the dribbling controls were nice and that the game feels more promising than last year. Still not a lot to go on, but since it is on display we'll probably be getting some impressions here and there.

It's a good thing because nobody could touch the controller last year at E3 lol

Sadly Mary Schmitt Boyer is the Cavs official beat writer. Even since Brian Windhorst left Cleveland with LeBron, I don't know who to trust for my Cavs updates.

Indeed. Still a lot to prove, but that's a bit more encouraging.

here's a pic I just found on twitter:

Still skeptic. All they showed was one player dribbling. I'm guessing this was a smart move not displaying unfinished 5 on 5 gameplay like last year.

The cool thing about Synergy is that if a player starts using a certain signature dribble in real life, it can easily be implemented into the game. If Damian Lillard starts using a new dribble in the middle of the season and Synergy picks up on it, you can bet it will be added. They won't just throw in animations either. If it tracks well on Synergy, you can be sure to see it added in the players dribbling arsenal. However, don't expect to use your BounceTek dribbling skills without a penalty. Your stamina will take a hit when using them, so make sure to use it wisely as you won't always be successful when you are low on energy.
This will be interesting!!!

#NBALIVE14 Executive Producer Sean O'Brien speaks with @GameTrailers about BounceTek & much more:

The BounceTek thing just sounds like a fancy gimmick they steer all your focus towards and then everything around that is ignored. Once we get the game and the novelty of the one well done feature wears off we're left with a WTF kind of game is this situation.
And LiveKing:

At the same time, leaving the ball up to physics is a huge change. Think of the difference between 2K11 and 2K12 with the live ball stuff regarding collisions, then think about how it will change movement and such without this shit going on -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu38KyPLfyAAt least, that is what I am understanding underneath signature animations and buzzwords.

Yeah I'm still a bit skeptical, I remember some of these awesome features that were meant to totally change the game (dynamic DNA, hotspots) which are focused on in the previews (or the new controls last time around with the two joysticks and would revolutionize sports games) and once we play it we're like okay this is cool, but what about the rest...
Intrigued to see the 5 on 5, I really hope they do something good this year!

for good reason, but I thought the DNA and Hotspot stuff did change the game in a positive way?

They might have just done the demo in training mode because:
1. It's easier to showcase and allow the player to mess around with the new tech instead of trying to win the game or whatever they might do in a 5-on-5 situation.
2. It's easier to split out and demo without having to construct something from the ground up with full presentation assets/commentary/etc. (a lot of which can often change until the last minute)

Still much to be shown, and proven, but Steve's impressions were very encouraging. Judging by a couple of other Tweets here and there, the game is having a more impressive showing than last year, if nothing else.
The interview with Sean O'Brien is worth checking out as well. The way they're talking about the connected experience, it does sound like they're going to do Dynamic Season again in some form or another.

I'm still skeptic as well, being that nba elite 11 looked good when they showed 1 on 1 dribbling, but when they put 5 on 5 together, it looked horrible... implementing all this stuff together in 5 on 5 game is where EA failed big time, lets see how it goes

Definitely did, what I meant was they advertise the heck out of that one feature and once you've gotten the game there's this sense of hey that's a cool thing but what about xyz?
That's why I'm all for the BounceTek thing, totally...I'm just not letting myself buy in to the marketing this time.

Where is the Live 14 wishlist thread that the developers read? I wanted to see if they were thinking about giving players the option to edit wingspan. Something 2K has yet to do too.

Our last Wishlist thread is stickied here:
viewtopic.php?f=131&t=76513Given NBA Live 13 was cancelled and the same wishes/feedback/thoughts on what we wanted to see still applied to NBA Live 14, we didn't compile another list.
