I hope we get a good current gen NBA Live game as well.

I've just saw xbox revial video and NBA live's looking awesome...

The graphics from the reveal trailer looked like NBA Live 09!! Which is a good thing, players looked more detailed, but I still hate the bodies of the players
Here's the Trailer:

@EASPORTSNBA tweeted me & said that NBA Live 14 will only be out for XBOX One & PS4 gen-4. They said the trailer was developed in a pre rendered format given the timing & planning required for the XBOX One event.

damn, that just ruined my day, I was NOT (and still won't) plan on buying the new gen. Why would Live do that anyway, they had to assume the little of the fanbase they have have the current gens. In the words of Stinkmeaner:

honestly i think next gen only is a great thing for live, but i just thought about what they will do for current gen:
"New NBA Concept"c'mon NBA Street! (yes i know it's not new) hell, i might just ditch it for next gen and live though depending on what it is. it will obviously release in october to match 2k14 and then Live will be a launch release for PS4/XB1 in december

It's a shame and naturally we'd have loved to have seen a PC version too, but considering the troubles they had polishing the tech for the current gen the last few years, it was probably inevitable and perhaps for the best. It'll have to impress though, if it's to contribute to its potential fanbase having sufficient enthusiasm to invest in a new console.

Damn, a part of me was hoping for a PC version

I think most of us were. All we can do is continue to express our interest in having one and demonstrate that there's an audience for it. Fortunately, it appears that 2K are still supporting the PC platform for the moment, so we don't come away empty-handed.

I've asked a question about PC version. Unfortunately, @EASPORTSNBA tweeted me that there's no PC version but just PS4 and XBOX One

We already knew that. I think most of us saw it coming, much to our disappointment.

Maybe we can have a poll on how much of us are willing to buy a next gen console within the next year.
As much as I'd love to play NBA Live again, I'm still undecided whether I should pay around 500€ for a console.

Exactly, I feel like my PS3 has much more life left. I'm sure the new engine benefits the devs so they can work with much more on the new consoles, but wouldn't EA, ESPECIALLY NBA LIVE, wanna maximize on their sales? Live is the one game where it gets unfair criticism, even when no one has played it yet it's already deemed garbage. I can deal without the new engine, but I'm seriously sick of 2K......really sick of it!

ok, so you deal without the new engine, what engine would they use for PS360 if it can't "handle" the Ignite NG engine? They would be in the exact same situation as Elite and Live 13, except trying to make 2 games instead of 1.

Live gets unfair criticism? I can agree with you to some extent since there are people who enjoy trolling with excessive comments but most of the criticism Live get is deserved. People played the Elite 11 demo at it was really bad, even Bigball12 played the retail game and said it was bad, the leaked Live 13 gameplay video showed a really bad game with the same awful body models which appeared again in the Live 14 CGI trailer when people have complained about them. Besides, if any of those games were actually good, then why were they cancelled? There have to be very close to garbage if EA preferred to not release it and wait for the next year.

but would you play it when there's a new console out?
i thought the same thing about the ps2, but when i played an xbox 360 version, i knew i had to upgrade to the ps3 because the ps2 version was just subpar.
Mon May 27, 2013 8:31 am
The PS2 version was really subpar compared to the Xbox one from the same generation.
Qballer wrote:but would you play it when there's a new console out?
Why wouldn't you? Especially if you don't have a new console or don't intend on getting one at launch?

I guess it depends on the other games that you're interested in. I wouldn't just be getting a next gen console for Live, so I'll be looking at investing in one.

Fucking weak man. I was looking to try out Live on a PS3 when I buy it for cheap. But this is some lousy ass shit.

Don't be mad, it's not like they have released a Live game for the past 2 years. Just consider it as a continuity.
