Not long to go now. Once again, fingers crossed that it leaves us with a more positive impression than NBA Live 13 ultimately did last year.

Yeah, video games can't be that dumb. They are only programmed for certain things. Random guesses based on pre determined situations is not intelligence. Human intelligence is an attribute that allows us to learn and improve, think about possibilities, plan strategies, adjust or react to situations, and make decisions, and more, but I think that would be a good start for cpu teammate/opponent AI.

Here's my guess, Kyrie is gonna help present the game, he's gonna be in LA this week, he mentioned he wanted to play at the Drew League. And on his Twitter he said it was gonna be a big day.....I'm calling it

I'm thinking it's just a better version of Real AI? found in the recent NBA Jam.
Unless EA has found one of the holy grail in the field of artificial intelligence, I doubt it.
Of course we could be wrong and everything will lead up to Judgement Day with John Connor as our only hope to lead us.

EA Sports nba tweeted reply a week ago, saying that it probably is worth your time to watch E3 this probably means it won't just be a let down like last years 5 seconds of screen time

While it would be silly to have such a short appearance when trying to promote this new Ignite engine....its still a matter of I'll believe it when I see it, since there are 3 other games on that engine that can demonstrate the technology. Either way, 30 minutes.

Good call.

It looks like something called "BounceTek" is gonna be a perfect dribbling system, in which the ball is actually having it's own physics, more of Kyrie Irving too! He has to be the coverboy!

I think the Jerseys look good too, it's just everybody looks too skinny. And Kyrie's face just looks AMAZING. Hope this is true gameplay footage.

Hate how everyone has toothpick legs, and I think CP3's would have realistically fought through that screen

Here is what's on live's website:

BOUNCETEK

The dribble is fundamental to basketball, but it’s also the unique
signature of every NBA star. Whether it’s Rubio’s wrap around or Irving’s
devastating hesitation dribble, creativity is at the core of every move.
bounceTek unlocks the full potential of the dribble by releasing the ball
to physics., allowing for truly organic control. With NBA LIVE 14, one-on-
one matchups take on a whole new meaning and finally allow for creativity
and self-expression. NBA LIVE 14 puts the control back in your hands.

COURTQ
With 15x the memory, CourtQ is the brain of NBA LIVE 14. Over 70
unique statistics and tendencies power every single player on the court,
utilizing the same data used by all 30 NBA teams. NBA players evolve
throughout the season, and so does CourtQ, downloading updates from
every NBA game within 1-hr of the final buzzer. If a breakout star gets
hot in the NBA, he’ll be hot in NBA LIVE 14.

LIVE WORLDS
With fresh content and challenges on a daily basis, NBA LIVE 14 delivers
a new experience each and every time you pick up the controller.

cloth looks great, F those models, that ball texture, and CG.

Check the footage before the video morphs, I believe that's actual in game footage!!! If it is, models look more realistic than 2K's. Scott OG said there's more to come tomorrow for NBA Live 14, and today was just the beginning!!!

You're right, I never noticed that. Those models actually look pretty slick

Eh..

What bugs me is that Live players don't seem very different in body type. DeAndre Jordan doesn't "look" bigger than Irving. Just a bit more stretched out.

Nice footage, intrigued unlike last year.

One more thing to look at though. The crowd looks better than I've ever seen in my entire life.

So that's CG again right?

This continues to be a dumb idea.

I can confirm it's CGI but does use some in-game assets (including Kyrie Irving's stationary dribble). That makes it interesting but once again, it's tough to glean too much from a short trailer that doesn't feature any actual in-game footage.

The details on the official site are interesting as well, though we still need to see them in action and experience them for ourselves before we can say much either way. CourtQ sounds like the next step in Dynamic DNA, which makes sense given that EA renewed their partnership with Synergy. Seems Live Worlds will have something to do with that too, if they're talking about fresh content daily. BounceTEK sounds good, hopefully the animations are also looking pretty good on top of the physics and responsiveness of the controls.

I am not really certain what EA is going after as many of the features sound exactly like they had in NBA Live 10. But I guess there are so many ways to make an NBA video game.

NBA Live 10 felt like a step in the right direction though, so that's not necessarily a bad thing...so long as they're being done better.
