I can fix that. It's actually because all those png files had to be renamed in order to match Mr Xcitement's portraits. It took me a while last night but I finally got them all to work fine, so I can just upload the png files that were renamed, and you'll just have to dump them in your 2K10 folder and choose to overwrite if prompted.
I'll upload a .rar with those later on.

Good deal, if you can fix this so we don't lose the great CF's that these patchers work hard to create. Also, I'm partial to your roster patch. The one that came with the portrait patch is a older one and has players that are hurt, that aren't hurt now and back in the lineup. and their ratings drop significantly, I'm sure it affects gameplay.

Okay, here's a pack with the png files that are renamed using Mr Xcitement's portrait patch, I think they should be all there (it's about 43MB).

:seriouscat: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ic4z7v

Obviously, I'm not claiming any of those CFs, for those that were modified (like Jerebko, Blair, etc). I just uploaded the ones that had to be renamed to be compatible with both Mr Xcitement's portrait patch and my own roster file.
Of course, you do need to install the 2 portrait files from his patch first, then simply dump those png files in your 2K10 and use my latest roster file, and it should be good to go. Lemme know otherwise.

the whose CF is that?? you should put a credit .... not just because you forget it ....

Re: Guillaume's Roster (12/14/09) - compatible w/ new portraits

Wed Dec 16, 2009 11:14 am

Like I said, I'm not claiming any of those, it's simply for convenience's sake for those who want to have the new portraits work in compatibility with my roster, and don't feel like having to rename all of them, which can take a while.
I don't to be reminded of when giving credit when it's due, thanks...

Ok, so just dump the renamed png files into 2k10 folder, and the missing portraits will show up? There is no readme in the file, that's why I asked. Thx.

BUT Blazers CRASH THE practice mode

I tried practice mode and quick game and it worked fine for me. Is it possible that you downloaded another court/CF patch that could make the game crash? Do all the Portland players have their correct portraits and CFs?
Sorry man, since it works fine for me, I'm not too sure how to fix that.

 If you haven't already, download Mr. Xcitement's patch, dump his two "portrait" files in your main 2K10 folder (make a backup of the original ones first) but don't use his roster file obviously.
 Then download the pack of CFs that I uploaded and dump all the png files in the main folder too (back them up first). I just did what Mr. Xcitement mentioned in his ReadMe, so that's just to save everybody else some time.
 If you use my latest roster file, all the IDs should match and all the players should have their portraits/CFs (except those who are not supposed to yet). Let me know otherwise, but I checked all those players and it was working for me.

Okay, this is a big update that took me many hours...

 accurate lineups & rotations
 plenty of updated gear and shoes
 about half of the sig shots updated (I spent hours on forums gathering what most seemed to agree on)
 plenty of ratings, tendencies and roles updated

I incorporated those changes and updated my roster with the latest lineups and gear, plus a few more sig shots, and all the ratings changed for a couple of additional teams (I still have maybe 40% of the teams to go through). Here it is:

Hey Guillaume, first of all great job with the rosters! I'm trying them now and they're looking good so far, now I have a couple of questions (maybe 3 of them xD):

1. I noticed you decreased some offensive ratings like 3pt shooting for several players (I'm aware you did a lot more than that), I'm guessing this is for more realism and more accurate shooting % ?

2. In case the answer to 1. is yes, is it ok that I continue to use custom sliders like the ones from playmaker? Even after you included the coach profiles tweakings by zeng56 (good job there zeng)?

3. Finally do you intend to release an uninjured version of this roster?

Thanks in advance for your feedback and once and again congrats on your excellent work.

1. I noticed you decreased some offensive ratings like 3pt shooting for several players (I'm aware you did a lot more than that), I'm guessing this is for more realism and more accurate shooting % ?

Well, it's mainly based on current %, since a lot of players that are typically masters behind the arc are shooting quite poorly so far. Obviously, it's only about 1/4 or 1/3 of the season that has been played so far, and I'm sure most will end with decent % in the end, but in the meantime it feels wrong to overrate them if they're not shooting the ball that well.
But you're correct, it's also because it seems way to easy to score 3 pointers (at least in All-Star level) with players that have a 3pt rating of 75 or more.
2. In case the answer to 1. is yes, is it ok that I continue to use custom sliders like the ones from playmaker? Even after you included the coach profiles tweakings by zeng56 (good job there zeng)?

I must say I haven't tried to play with those new coaching profiles yet, so hopefully it won't be too much out of whack, but as far as sliders, it will unfortunately vary a lot from one patcher to the other, and it's really a matter of playing and experimenting for yourself. My sliders are based on Playmakers' too, just tweaked here and there, so if you're using them too along with my roster, it should hopefully be realistic enough.
3. Finally do you intend to release an uninjured version of this roster?

Since I've been asked several times, I guess I'll include an uninjured version in my next update. I just don't like uninjured rosters... :shifty:
Bro, your portrait of Jason Williams is a fat man. Haha!

Sorry captainchew, he has the correct portrait in my game, so if you've installed Mr.Xcitement's portrait patch, you may have forgotten to rename the png files. If it helps, here is the png file that gives J-Dub is correct CF and portrait when using my roster along with Mr.Xcitement's patch (again, the CF is not mine, I'm not claiming it in any way).

But this is an issue for me too. I've noticed that other players like Buck's Delfino have wrong portraits but they have their correct CF. I hope you'll look into this. Thanks :D

Trust me, those are the players whose png files had to be renamed if you installed Mr.Xcitement's portrait patch and use my roster. It's working fine for me, they have their own portraits and CFs, and they will for you too if you follow those instructions:
 If you haven't already, download Mr. Xcitement's patch, dump his two "portrait" files in your main 2K10 folder (make a backup of the original ones first) but don't use his roster file obviously.

Just in case, Delfino's renamed png file is this one: http://www.sendspace.com/file/n0723h

In the meantime, here's a small update with all the latest moves (Maynor to OKC, Livingtson/Wilks/S.Randolph waived, Jaric out for good) and lineups, and some shoes changes (I recommend installing Migo's patch for the Nike Hyperize, it finally fixes the color conflict with the black/white version --> white swoosh now; thanks Migo :) ):

I'll see if I have time tomorrow to release another update, this time including an uninjured version (I'll need to fix the colors for all the players wearing the Hyperize too). Otherwise, it'll be this weekend.

Guillaume, I'd much rather use your rosters, but lately when I load the game, 2k's living rosters takes over, and all the CF's that I use don't show up in the game, as well as injured players, and players that are listed as out can't be used at all. Any work around for this? Thx for the time.

Yeah, unfortunately, it will do that automatically if you're online. I switch my network connection on and off, so I only play 2K10 offline and my roster does not get overwritten, but I'm afraid there's no simply fix for that. I don't believe there's an option to set living rosters to manual instead of automatic, but I think you can choose to stay logged on or to log on manually each time you start the game, so that might be the only option here...

Here's my latest update, with the latest lineups and injuries. I also added Mike Harris in Houston, added Tolliver in Portland (since they have a 16 man rotation right now, I had to release Przbylla, who is out for the season anyway, but I'll just put him back when they do decide to waive someone else), changed all the colors for the players wearing Hyperize shoes (I recommend installing Migo's patch for compatibility), tweaked the ratings of a couple of additional teams, and added the new coaching profiles per zeng56's request. I also included an uninjured version, which I fucking hate doing, so I won't do that again...
