Retro Mod 1997 Add-on V.II Released (new DH and Kobe prev)

Hey Clarmylove I've seen you have taken a lot of the faces made for my patch by *MGX* and just place them on random players so that you can "fill them out" (putting *MGX*'s Charles Oakley face on Wingate or putting ilyas Rod Strickland on your Pervis Ellison for example, that's kinda cheap).

That's not cool man, I clearly and openly said that you could use anything and you said just some jerseys and courts. You've taken *MGX* faces without his permission and that's not cool man, you also took my Kevin Duckworth without permission...that's not cool man, you could have asked me and you know I would have said yes.

You have given us all the faces just for the sake of having them all and not by making at least a good attempt at them...You have given us a great majority of cack faces for this cack mod.

Not cool man, not cool.

I have been working on the mod a lot recently, barely sleep, and there are over 200 players in the mod, so I m sorry that I forgot to mention that, I already send message to MGX to appologize
also, people in other forums have been rushing me for a long time, so I didn't even clearly check the mod before I release it
btw, I can still take the mod down if you insist

No man, I'm not that type of guy who's gonna report you or ask you to remove your mod. I just want to let you know that what you did is not cool and disrespectful to the face-makers who put time and effort on their faces only for you to use them to fill players out...that's cheap.


What if people rush you? You think you can make a great mod in 1 month? That's not an excuse, like I said, it doesn't take more than one minute to ask me or others "can I use this or that" or "can I use your face to put it as another player ?"

With all the fill-outs you have done in your mod... it doesn't look authentic (done by you and a team) Your roster is cheap...It would have been more authentic with generic faces at least...But if you choose to do things as people say you should, then that's your choice.

man aloncho u have to be honest this has been the best roster so far those rosters with all those generic faces are the wack ones i would rather have a fill and a portrait than any of those CLARK cheers to u bro just give credits to anybody 's stuff u use ..your faces are the best (and u probably didnt kno since u started with stompthecourts roster anyway and all of these cf's where in there )and thx for getting this roster done we usually have to wait months and months u are awesome bro and im having a ball with this mod u have breathed life back in to a game that was getting boring everybody needs to give u a big kiss and stop nit picking

For some reason I can't download Players Part 2. Can someone upload it to somewhere else for me? It'd be much appreciated.
Whenever I download it, it's just not there. It's there as it downloads, as a temporary file, but It disappears as soon as it gets done. What's up with that?

Awesome mod man! Between this and Aloncho's 91-92 season I'm in old school b-ball heaven from now until 2k11. Thanks for all the hard work man.

You can fix that by yourself, in the edit player section in game. I've seen a few roster errors, on the Nuggets I believe. Its a very small error. Everything is great though, great mod! Hey clark do you know the shoe_numbers of the custom shoes that Aloncho provided for this mod? I want to keep the custom retro shoes and overwrite all the generic 2k shoes that also came with other shoe patches. Thanks again for this mod man.

could you check on sarunis marciulionis...he has the head of Varejo (sp?) it looks weird with Sarunis having an afro

how would generic faces be more authentic? that actually takes the immersion away from the game

is there sumthing wrong with the roster file?
because it still has the same names like pau gasol and ron artest

In 1997 MJ didn't wear that sleeve on his leg. He wore it for every other season except this one.

you can still get MJ's calf sleeve by changing his skin colour to 0, and its only for him

its 3 different version in the editor and when u change it, it's white, is there a way to turn it red ? also Gary grant, can you do a cf for him, i know him n his brother, would mean alot to me ? other than that, i changed some faces in the editor, this mod is top notch, good job !

edit.. is there a way to change darvin hams arms from dark to match his skin tone ? and bryant stith should be dark but his white ? same with george zidek needs to be white ?

you shouldnt be loadin 96 roster at all, delete everything, including your cache file, copy a 2k10 folder rename it to 1997, place that in the same location as 2k10 original install , load all the files Clark has put up, take the 1997 roster and place that in your appdata folder ( under user ) , get in game load the 1997 roster!

There almost always are right when a new mod is released, I'm sure they'll be corrected soon. I haven't come across that many yet though to be honest other than ones that all of us have seen. Agreed about KG, I thought the same thing when I saw him in game. I was pumped to use the younger KG cf with hair. I'm sure clarkmylove will post the other one, I'm assuming it was an accident that he didnt post that version?
